So.. apparently, now speaking a different language other than English is muteable.

Well first off, that's not a good rule, considering about more than half of the GC players don't even speak English, and would leave GC once they find that they keep getting muted for no reason, which of course will lead into the number of players going down quickly.

Other than that, not allowing people to type in any language they want is rasism, so basically, one rule contrasts the other rule.

I understand that some people swear in different languages but still, it should be manageable if the person reports it. That's why google translate is always there. And if its hard for staff to search for what language the person was speaking, then add into the 'Report a Player' format 'Language:'

The new rule is basically restricting people who don't know how to speak English from typing in the chat, which isn't good for GC.

Please consider this and don't lock it right away because it's against one of the rules, this is simply feedback.

To sum it all up, my suggestion is to remove the 'Not allowed to speak in a different language' rule.

Im sorry if i sound a bit harsh or a little toxic but this rule needs to go xD

Well that rule is indeed a bit harsh considering that not everyone knows how to speak english :p - I also hate when i see everyone saying stuff i can't really understand, but you can't make them use google translator for everything they wanna say.
So ya, i basically agree with you.

When has this rule been created though?
As much as I know I've never seen a player muted for speaking a language other than English

It's not exactly racist, but ok.. Anyway, I do not agree with your statement. This rule is perfectly fine. Lots of players use different languages to accuse, curse .etc.. without getting a punishment. It's absolute BS. If they want to talk to each other in a different language, they can use /msg. Nearly everyone on GC is able to speak English.

I do agree with the fact that anyone can talk in any language they prefer, BUT as @Zelotez said, it's just total BS when they take it for granted and swear or disrespect staff and/or members in that language.

"lol they can't understand what we're saying so let's just swear!" "Let's swear as much as we can, no one can say anything because if they do we can report them for disrespecting our culture" etc etc.

Now it's instances and mind sets like that ^, that pisses everyone off. That is exactly why there's Party chats or Faction chats, /msg. In my experience as a GC citizen, I have not once come across any situation that I felt that people talking in a different language were communicating as they would regularly converse in real life.

They either always flood, or swear, or spam. Of course you're welcome to show me a regular conversation and prove me wrong. But that's my experience. So I honestly find that rule okay.

Another server I play is English-only in global chat, other languages are only for faction, party, and other chats. Teamspeak, Discord, messengers such as Kik, there are hundreds of other ways to communicate in your own language (or just make up a language if you want). That system works well.

This doesn't only apply to English. If GC wanted to make all chat Dutch or Swahili or Tagalog that's their right. Your staff needs to be able to understand what players are saying.

We want the percentage of English speaking people to go up, only way to do that is to enforce the English-Only rule. In time people will be speaking English more and more and the rule will not be so strictly enforced and perhaps the rule shall be removed again. Right now, chats are flooded with Turkish, Spanish and other languages which is player unfriendly, as you all know people love to talk and when they can't, they won't stay(This is a multiplayer game and talking in chat is mandatory for most gamemodes).

Hope I've informed you enough, I understand that this rule might not make sense to you but right now we're trying to improve quality in the servers in a long/short term, which comes in many forms and yes, chat is one of those things.

You may still speak whatever language you please in other chats, but just not public chat.

Well here is my opinion first of all mutes are given so that little 8yr olds playing do not learn those kinds of languages and considering GC as one of the MOST famous cracaked server apart from pika it entertains a variety of countries to play. Most countries have English as one of their langages but there are many countries where there are not and in those countries it is impossible for the people to chat anymore. Most importantly they are not even aware of this rule. One of my friend dcu speaks very little English since he is bad at it.
Talking if people are sooooo curious to know what the people in their language are talking about (which basically makes you a stalker) Google translate that
The staff disrespect problem and the problem that they might be swearing in their language why do you even give a **** if they are swearing in their language or saying something about you.
LOL you are saying that if in a country there are many homeless people, to get rid of them you KILL THEM.
lel nice law gc as expected

Because then they won't get what they deserve! They abuse it and it's very unfair for monolingual players/staff members. We aren't being nosy, we're just trying to make the chat much better.

GC is an English speaking server as this law indicates to and if it is English speaking server only English swears should only be mute able and people swearing in different languages which you don't possibly understand for them its just like permanently muting people who don't speak English and it is better than them swearing in their languages which in any way would affect the eight year old English speaker.

So what you're saying is that if you called me a "****" in Spanish, I shouldn't take offense and it shouldn't be regarded as racism just because I don't know what you're saying? You're clearly on cloud or something because you don't seem to be thinking fine.

EDIT: Also, why are you assuming that I'm an 8 year old monolingual English speaker? I speak 3 languages, 2 fluently and I'm 16, thank you!
