Skyblock is like survival, but all that is under you other than the island is the void, be careful not to fall. The best way to start the skyblock island is To build and cobblestone generator. This guide is to help you learn how to start you island, and how to make a cobble generator to be able to expand it. STEP 1: At first you need to do your own skyblock island you can meake by typing in chat /island or /is STEP 2: Then you need dig out hole like this: STEP 3: Place your lava and ice/water. ( be shure to breake ice block! ) If you did this correctly, your new cobble generator should now look like this. Now you can either stand on the grass, or break the grass on either side of the cobblestone and stand next to the cobble as you mine it. If You accidentally make obsidian, right click the obsidian block with your bucket to turn it back to lava! I will do new tutorial on how to easily start up your skyblock more, or add to this one if enought people decide that it is worth it.
