»/restart Capabilities given to Player Admins

The title says it all, and today 2 of the restarts did not occur and caused major lag within the server, a player admin was on, if only he'd have that ability to restart it manually. Which comes to mind, restart should be given to player admins as a means of keeping the server stable to play. Anyone agree or no?

 

I Would say not player admins but admins are ok

 

The problem of missed restarts have become an issue as in the past month is has happened twice resulting in major lag issues. While I do agree that something needs to be done, giving that level of permissions is not as simple as it sounds. There are a few steps that can be taken to help the situation before that maybe .

Step 1:
Working on lines of communication and response to either the H-A or above. Sometimes there may be no PAdmin online or even a Mod. So the staffing issue which I believe is being worked on has to become a priority. As such there should be some sort of action taken or response from Staff to players updating them on whether the situation is being worked on. (Will also aid in player loss prevention)

Step 2:
If this does not seem to work, Admin Permissions can then be updated to include server restarts and Step 1 can then be retested.

Step 3:
Promoting New Admins. This may not be as simple either due to admin playing privileges being reduced. I am not sure how many PAdmins would welcome this.

Step 4:
PAdmin Permissions can be updated on a trial basis with strict punishments if it is ever abused.

In general something needs to be done. Hope something comes from this in the future.

 

We don't want more MonsterStorm v2 so no. it can be abused by some new admins or already padmins who just got bored and yeeeeeeeeeeet rip

 

Not a bad idea but what about if they do abuse it? Before they are demoted and banned they can wreck havoc on the server.
