Hello, As we can see lots of players are against the only english rule, which has been in for about half a year. I will make a suggestion on how to make the rule better, not removed. Well first and foremost, Lots of players are using foriegn languages in order to bypass chat filters, for example when they rage/disrespect,they know they will get muted if they swear. So they use their native language to swear, that way they know they will get only a 2 hour mute, not a 12 hour one or longer. (By the way,no idea if this is implemented or not,but if it isn't,it needs to be) I am suggestion to add a Chat translator plugin, that could translate everything that is written in another language than english. This way everything that a player says will be translated, and that player will be given a bigger punishment if he broke any other rule in that language (swearing, disrespect, racism, sexual language, death threats etc),being given the right punishment each rule states,no matter if written in english or in another language. It makes it a lot more fair. Also the plugin isn't hard to install either. As easy as that, Why mute the players for 2 hours only, when they wrote something worth muting for 12+ hours? The chat translator plugin is a mandatory mod for this rule,if you have it in. (the rule) Also lastly, If you translate and the players don't say anything wrong, just normal chatting, mute them for 2 hours as the rule states to. This is a briliant suggestion in my opinion that could make the chat managed in a way more eficient & easy way,so please take your time and add this. ~Hippo.
It's a great suggestion, but I think you meant plugin instead of mod, because otherwise players had to install this mod before playing GC.
This could either be very useful or completely pointless. If someone speaks a term based on their language, they always say it using english alphabets. For example: if I was speaking chinese, using the chinese unicode letters, it would work flawlessly, like so: Wizare: 你好 ---> Hello but if I said the same thing using english alphabets: Wizare: Neehaw it would not be able to translate it since it's written in english alphabets and it could mean literally anything in over 100 languages and the plugin wouldn't know which language it needs to translate the term to. d Of course, it could be very useful if everyone talked in unicode letters, while directly using their own language but that's somthing that is extremely unlikely to be seen. Thus, the chances of this plugin to work are extremely low. ~Wiz

Awesome suggestion. infact players who cant talk english can just talk in their lang. and when they send the message it will be translated into english(from the other language) and they can communicate easily even without knowing english.
Your not the only person that has suggested this. If they were gonna add it that would've don't it already.
How about slang? How will you fix that? Or words with multiple meanings? Or multiple meanings throughout mutliple languages?
This plugin is for all type of languages so slang also applies, trust me this plugin does exist. https://mods.curse.com/bukkit-plugins/minecraft/chat-translator Or others like this, there are a lot of types. It translates every existing language as I'm aware so slang won't be a problem, and asking about multiple meanings is useless because it translates everything correctly.
