A lot of games use the mouse wheel scroll to switch between items or slots, like switching guns in an fps or switching toolbar slots in Minecraft. I used to have a notched scroll wheel (where the wheel physically scrolled in increments or a set portion at a time) and in games the switching function always worked as intended, i.e. one notch = one switch. My new mouse also has a notched scroll wheel, but in games the effect is that even one scroll will often switch 2 or 3 times instead of just once. For example in shooters it switches to my secondary weapon then right back to my primary weapon again, or in Minecraft it switches 2 or 3 slots over instead of just one. It's pretty much impossible to reliably scroll the precise amount required for just one switch at a time. Is there any way to fix this? Maybe setting a scrolling threshold in a third-party program or something like that?
If you wanted to make it smaller you should have cropped out the part where you said hi and jono replied, nothing above or under. Like that but the image is still really low quality sorry I have OCD
