Good Day GuildCrafters,

Allow me to first apologize for this sudden invasion of an unexpected mail into your inbox. I do, like many of you, embrace the comforts of daily routine, the warmth of the familiar and the serenity of repetition. I enjoy them as much as many of you do. But in the name of justice, allow me to nudge you out of your little comfort zone for a small conversation. Now there are of course those who do not want us to speak. In fact, it won't take long before words of my greetings leak out and shouting of orders ensue to silence me. Why? Because while the ban-hammer may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meanings and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something horribly wrong with this server isn't there?

Ruthlessness and injustice, unfairness and oppression. And where once the keys of liberty were in your hands to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have locks and hammers ready to silence, if not eliminate your conversation. How did all these happen? Who is to be blamed? Certainly there are those who should be more responsible than the others. Though truth be told, if you are searching for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you kept quiet, I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? Warns, locks, bans and deletes. There were a myriad of threatening weapons which conspired to pollute your reason and blind you to your common sense. Fear got the best of you and slowly but gradually, your voice fell into the depth of unspoken oppression.

Just weeks ago, a fellow GuildCrafter StoneHeart attempted to seek out the muted voice in all of us. His hope was to carry a message of realization to the staffs, that this server, the server we were once proud to be a part of, was now ill on many dimensions. The courageous attempt evoked emotions, emotions which ignited the exchange of words between staffs and members. It seemed hopeful, until the entire thread was locked, then deleted and members silenced.

In another attempt by fellow GuildCrafter Juneyyy, a voice spoke up against the tyrannical rule of banning non-english languages in public chat. Discussions, or rather, arguments rolled out and sadly yet not unexpectedly, locks, bans and deletes were swiftly meted out without mercy.

While the staffs busied themselves with silencing the voices, major issues were left with inadequate attention. With each growing day, hackers, bad management and worst of all, inaction threaten to drive away the enlightened ones. No, I am not exaggerating because a tour around the forums would reveal that many notable old players have left, their farewell threads littered with disappointment for the server.

The crew stirring the once glorious ship of GuildCraft today have misaligned their goals. Where the guns were once aimed at the hackers, the crew of today points their weapons at us, an action that has led to the observations of countless hackers running amok on the server. Yet, even as these facts lay out in plain view of the crew, their endless flow of reasons or should I say, excuses continue to be the safety net for them to bounce back on. Asserting that they have lives is what they are best at, though in light of the old days, it would suggest the old crew, who are sadly no longer with us, were an old bunch of no-lifers for the impressive work they have done.

Today, the idea of fairness, justice and freedom has faded into oblivion. In particular, Auto-Ban is reverred by many, its mistakes practically impossible to conceive and attempts to argue against it were met with merciless oppression. Furthermore, replies to requests take longer than ever, with some never receiving an answer. These are problems mere words can never suffice in description and perhaps, a tour through the guest account in the unban/unmute requests section would shed more light. I urge those interested to do a little visitation. After all, seeing is believing.

So if you've seen nothing, if the crimes of the crew remains shrouded from your view, then I would suggest you allow this message to slip pass unmarked. But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek, then I extend my invitation for you to stand beside me. You, like me, can make your voice known. They can ignore the voice of an individual, but they cannot ignore the voice of the people. My time in GuildCraft has passed and the world that I knew had gone. The choice to shape tomorrow is no longer mine to make, and I leave this choice to you.

*Remember the idea, not the man because a man can fail. He can be killed and forgotten but ideas will always live on to change the world.
