@lolzzlol to whoever has problem with their gfx card, go to minecraft launcher->profile->resolution and change it to 800x600 also playing window instead of fullscreen is also helping.
@gr4ndLy do you know minecraft system requirements? a 2003 pc is enough for 40 fps gameplay the thing that slows down pc's is things like viruses, wrong system configuration and game settings. @Sean29 thats the perfect way to set the pc literally on fire lol (hardware overuse)
I Completely agree with you. I used to play mc on a pc that had 1.5gb ddr2 and a really old amd cpu, cannot remember the model but it was worse than a Pentium 4 to give you an idea. I kept the system very clean, made sure nothing was running in the background and did everything such as lowering the resolution and installing Optifine. Finally I added a cheap gpu costing about £20 and I ended up with around 90fps with roughly 60fps recording at hd. And that was a pc I found in a skip! Although I keep my system pretty clear of adware and other crap I still do an annual reinstall of Windows and that does help. I urge all others to try the same. (Remember to backup your **** first...)
@lolzzlol The allocating ram thing doesn't work for me I have 3GB ram but when I type in -Xmx2G -Xms2G and click on play, an error pops/comes on the MC screen saying something like maximum heap size. Can you please tell me what to do and stuff?
Sadly It's still not working and I don't think it will after I put in dat code my MC didn't open soooo thx anyways :> nice tutorial.
Then you can only use the default which is set to 1gb already. Basically don't touch the ram is you have 2gb but the others may still help your fps
I though this would help me like 500%, but it couldn't. Because: 1. I use TeamExtreme launcher before, but it turned on me, so I use MagicLauncher 2. I have no idea where the JVM arguments are on my launcher. 3. I have no idea about the jav.exe thingy. There isn't anything in my taskbar processes called by that. Also my max fps is 30
