Hi everyone! So lately I've noticed lots of people are having problems with DNS Errors (including me), so I've decided to make a post about this so that anyone can take a look and fix their problem (this applies to all versions of windows, not sure about anything else)

When you get a DNS error, it might say something like "This webpage isn't available" or "This site can't be reached". It doesn't specifically have to be with websites, either; it could be not being able to join the server or teamspeak (which happened to me).
It might be slow internet, but if it's a DNS error (If you cannot join it after a few tries), this is how to fix it:

    1. Try reloading/refreshing your internet connection. It might be just a small problem with slow internet.

    2. If that doesn't work, try troubleshooting your internet. It usually picks up the problems and fixes it for you.

    3. If that doesn't work, go to Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center. It should show the wifi network you're currently connected to.

    4. Click on the name of your network (the one beside where it says "Connections"). There should be a small pop up tab. Click Properties. Important: Don't touch anything else that is not in the instructions, it might mess up something.

    5. When another small pop up tab comes up, find something that says"Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and click on it once. Click properties.

    6. When another pop up comes up, check "Use the following DNS server addresses" near the bottom.

    7. In "Preferred DNS server", type in numbers so it says: 208 . 67 . 222 . 222
    8. In "Alternate DNS server", type in numbers so it says: 208 . 67 . 220 . 220 (Optional; do this if it doesn't fix it the first time)
-These are the ips which anyone can use for DNS, and it doesn't do anything harmful, so don't worry.

And you should be set! If you have any questions, feel free to ask :D
    Have a nice day,
    -Tory
