Writing in blue this time. Hoping this doesn't hurt anyone's eyes.

Factions, should get, normal sponges. Not only should they be sold in bulk in /warp shop, but they should...

    • Stop lava and water, this helps EXTREMELY for genning walls, and most messes below bases are a result of no templates to place sponges on to prevent anything, and I mean anything from over flowing. There are plenty of wall genning sponge templates to use so your walls aren't looking like a half cobblemonster.
    • They should be non-wet.
No one likes wet sponges, its annoying, and why should a stack of sponges be almost worth as much as a stack of gold blocks? Thats ridiculous.

Now I think somewhere near the price of 15k or even less for 1 stack of sponges. THAT DON'T TURN WET. Would be a decent price. GC is quite clearly getting more progressive with the cannoning moving forward. Bases will become larger, but no one wants to clean up 40 cobble monsters as a result of genning 40 corner pillars. And it is insanely horrible for corner pillars, it become such a large cobble monster [either that or I'm doing it wrong, as are the people I've talked to about this] that its actually worthless to clean up. Certain bases even just keep the cobble monster look because its simply annoying to clean up.

Now this thread won't be as long, rather it'll have more images so admins and players can get a more clear view of my point.[IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

And also, by the way, none of these pictures are mine, so the one with the sprint toggled crap is just some randy picture I found, cuz I wasn't looking to actually go find one of the trays myself and make it. Kappa

Extending sponge range will flub up lots of defenses, you build your walls with the expectation of how far the enemy sponges can reach to dry out your walls.

I never said to extend the range, I said to get rid of the wet sponges, and make it drain lava and water to make wall genning more clean.

If you're referring to those pictures, well those are just random pictures I found so I didn't have to go find the plugin install it, and actually make examples.

I saw this on some other faction servers, and I think this is a really cool idea! i hope this gets to factions because we need to make around 100 walls to secure our base these days..

I like the lava bit of it...I like it all actually...
You have really valuable suggestions regarding the future of Factions. I really hope that the admins, including the owner, view your suggestions and take them into consideration. Most, if not all, of your suggestions so far have been fairly reasonable in that they don't hurt the economy, but rather they make the game more enjoyable whilst improving the economy in some ways.
@Tibo442 I'm sure you're extremely busy with other servers such as Kit PvP, Potion PvP, etc...But Factions is a huge part of GuildCraft's network. I know for fact that you can develop mod/plugins to better the game. Hell, /ah added an immense economy boost while we had it! Imagine what adding bluejay's ideas to the game would do...
The road of possibilities is an endless one, all you have to do is find that road and stay on it.

P.S.- I honestly just love GuildCraft.

Uh bluejay, sponge right now, even being wet, still keep absorbing more water, the look changes, but it still acts as if Dry.
    Try it your self <3

Yes, but the sponge we currently have doesn't continue to absorb the water even after being placed. It may seem like it does; however, if you were you to have a stream of water that is flowing down, and you used a sponge to absorb a section of that water stream, there's still a stream of water above you, and even though it may not immediately begin to flow back down, eventually it will.
With the sponges he's talking about this won't happen. Sponges will be like the sponges from some other popular Factions servers. They will keep the water absorbing property whilst staying dry and not allowing the water to flow inward/downward/wherever. As long as there's a sponge placed, no water/lava will leak into that area (normal sponges have a two block radius).
And super[NUB], I'm sure he's aware that sponges can still absorb water even when wet...He's not nub like you mate <3

You can use slabs but basically because of the way a corner pillar is generated, it simply causes a cobble monster in just about every way possible.
Yes but like the 1st picture its more useful next reset, because thus you prevent water from falling down, you can use that water to reverse bypass all your walls, which doesn't take too much time to build once you've found the right cannon to use.

Half as much or quarter. Otherwise it will be too expensive. Building a good base requires tonnes of these blocks
