Redstone torches are disabled because of clocks (however we do have an anti clock plugin implented so you are right about that.)
But second thing is gigantic AFK farm which on one side can cause a bit lagg but more importantly will make snowballing money way too easy, and the economy will go back to AFK to win and not PLAY to WIN.

Iron golems were a big mistake and they will not come back, one way or another high donators who don't get kicked will just be able to get a big advantage over people who have to play actively in order to get money.
