LIST OF EULA-COMPLIANT PERKS I have written this list out from scratch, the original is here. These perks have not been tested, and I can't guarantee they will be right for any one server, this is just a huge compilation of possibilities: Ability to modify banners, shields, fireworks, armour colour and player heads. Providing the basic versions of each are available to all. No cooldowns providing this is for non-critical things like chat, joining a game, etc. Removing a cooldown for a special ability such as in a mini-game would not be ok. Additional servers, for example a server where 'beta-versions' are uploaded, or an exclusive VIP lounge. This needs another IP though, such as "premium.server.net" rather than "play.server.net". Ability to modify aspects of the server. For example, premium users could vote on the server's weather, time of day, OPness of kits, or just generally have more of a say. This is compliant providing that what they decide affects everyone. No spammy messages, spammy messages are purely cosmetic and, unless spammed using the titlebar, have no impact on gameplay. Make sure not to spam too hard though! Special features on other services, such as forums, websites and IRC channels. Special forum sections, VIP chat channels are potential ideas. My favourite would be an option for premium users to be able to chat via IRC, compliant as chat is cosmetic. Spawn events such as lotteries, drop parties, 'coin bombs', minigames etc. As everyone has a chance or can take part in these it's fully compliant. Add donation goals, encourage users to donate so that when a major point is reached, they feel a sense of pride that they contributed. Rewards could be as big as new updates when goals were hit, or smaller goals giving a minor reward to all players. The somewhat more known ones, boosters, standard cosmetics and a shiny prefix. A twist on the shiny prefix is to make all the other prefixes so unshiny it stands out more. Fame, hall of fames for the biggest donators and shout-outs. Perhaps premium users' names could get little shout-outs. The ability to put out messages of their own via some sort of announcement system perhaps. Secrecy, unless the server is some sort of PvP server, let users go invisible when they want to. Compatible for all server would be the ability to toggle join/leave/death messages. Unique things, personal and custom prefixes perhaps. Let your premium players customise the names on all their gear. Create special entry/exit flags on their protections. Added beauty, force normal players to use the default texture pack, but let premiums use their own or an extra special server one. Stats, the ability to see more information about your history, experience and achievements etc. Added helpfulness, where normal users use commands, give VIPs the option of a gui. A cosmetic change, as both accomplish the same thing, but one in a quicker and easier way! EULA-compliant perks on another server. To encourage users to donate even more, offer something minor, but unique on another server and vice versa. Something simple such as a prefix.
