The title says it all, nick should be removed due to abusers. A lot of us says, Nick is so cool! Nick is freaking amazing! But for me, it's not. Why do you think nick should be removed? Well, some of the players are using it to troll. Ex. [Member] SamplePlayer (Original) >> Hey what's up guys? [Member] SamplePlayer (Impersonator) >> Hey what's up noob! [Member] SamplePlayer (Original) >> Who are you? [Member] SamplePlayer (Impersonator) >> and who are you? [Member] SamplePlayer (Original) >> WHO THE F**K ARE YOU?!? The player who got trolled raged because the impostor made him mad plus the original player got muted for swearing and using too much caps. I got 1 more to tell you. What if a a guy reported a player but that player was using nick to evade mute? Ex. [Member] I'mASamplePlayer Real name --> (Noob123) >> HEYYYYYY GUYS F**K YOU ALL! [Member] SwagPlayer >> Caps off and keep your language clean please. [Member] I'mASamplePlayer Real name --> (Noob123) >> WHAT IF I DON'T? [Member] SwagPlayer >> I'm going to report you. [Member] I'mASampleplayer Real name --> (Noob123) >> I'M NOT SCARED HAHA The guy SwagPlayer reported him and when a mod, helper or an admin deal with it, [Staff Member] Admin >> He has been muted, thanks for the report! The player I'mASampleplayer got muted instead of Noob123. Noob123 will continue doing this if /nick is not removed. It's fine not to remove /nick if a player could know if that's his/her real name. Also, a big thanks to @Toto1710 who gave me more reasons to suggest at the forums . @AsyFrost, what do you think?
Actually, we can see original IGN's on chat. Only problem is if that player (with the custom nick) has done something wrong, and has been screen capped by a Member (since Members cannot see original IGN's) and reported to the forums, we won't know who that person is. Even worse, if that person impersonates an existing player thru /nick, it can lead us to mute/ban that person who possesses the original IGN, and the person that used /nick can get away with it. EDIT: Also, what if that person changed his nick just right after he gets reported? /realname would be useless in that matter... ~Toto
@_SoraX_ , you didn't read the whole thing, am I right? I clearly stated that It's fine not to remove /nick if a player could know if that's his/her real name.
I believe you didn't read my previous post, bro. I mentioned that there's a possibility that the reported player can change his /nick to avoid the said command. Also, regarding the rankings you just mentioned, we had the exact same thing in Creative a few months ago, it was a failed experiment, so I highly doubt that it will come back.
