»Connection issues, and how to fix them. (Mostly)

Hello everyone,

Recently, I've seen alot of posts revolving around connection problems, so I decided to make a thread regarding these issues. Most of these errors start occurring right after the server crashes, or sometimes they just happen randomly. I have found several solutions to these types of problems that will probably work most of the time.


1- Switch server IPs - First of all the most common fix is to try changing the server IP, there are 2 IPs for the server, the .nl ip and the .org IP. What you have to do is switch the IP you're currently using to join, for example, if you were using the "play.guildcraft.org" IP switch to "play.guildcraft.nl". If you were using "play.guildcraft.nl" then switch to the "play.guildcraft.org" IP.

2- Direct connect - If you aren't using this feature already, then try connecting with one of the two server IPs using the "Direct connect" feature at the bottom of your Minecraft. Try connecting with the .nl IP then if that doesn't work use the .org IP.

3- Restart your internet - You've probably heard this like a million times already, but trust me, it works almost every single time.
