Hello So I have been playing on the server for a while now, and it has been kind of annoying that the limit is 3 accounts per ip. I know this is most likely in place to prevent hackers from making unlimited alts, but I think we all know they can simply use vpns and you don't have a way to prevent that. But for me, I have a group of about 7 friends that usually play on the cracked server at school (Because VPNs and mojang are blocked so we can't sign in with premium accounts). The issue is we can't all play because of the limit. I know that there is a way to change/remove it, so please don't tell me there isn't. I would like to ask if this could be changed so we could all play on the server. Thank you for taking your time to read this. - Winninq
lol, there's obviously a way to do it. Just go to the server folder, open Server.properties and change the number of accounts per IP. I don't think they will or should do it though, since not many hackers are professionals and only 30% of the kids who hack know about VPNs and changing their IP. Despite that I think that 3 really might be a little too small even if we are talking about the accounts in general and not about hackers, so I think maybe 5 would be better? ~Wiz
Sorry but we'll leave it on 3, you can register your cracked account elsewhere. There's no limitation on how many people may play simultaneously on an ip-adress. You should be able to figure it out. Also for a school not to have a dynamic ip-adress is pretty bad, as it can easily be harassed once you know the ip-adress. Tl;dr Request denied.
I was already aware of this. I'm not sure why the school doesn't have a dynamic ip address, but it does make it more complicated than it has to be to just play on a server with friends. I would be playing premium servers, but the minecraft website is blocked at school, so this is about the best I can play on.
