»Annihilation Vote Crate Keys/system

So I just came up with this idea. Essentially it is stolen from all the other servers on gc, but I'd love to see it on anni.

In voting I think we should have a chance of winning something, this would be beneficial to the server as more people might vote attracting more popularity as anni is a major server in guildcraft, and also beneficial for players

So obviously the prizes would be different. So the only real gift you can give in annihilation is either xp or kits.
With this in mind here's what I thought of:

(1/10) 100xp
(1/25) 300xp
(1/50) 1 Vote Crate Key
(1/500) Rare Vote Crate Key

These probabilities were stolen from the survival server and matched to what I deemed appropriate.

Anyway moving onto the prizes from the Vote Crate Key:
There's 2 ways we could go about redeeming a vote key: 1. In an anni match or 2. In /server anni

The advantages of having it in the game are greater as then you could have the negative really shtty presents available.
For Example a list of Prizes:
- 1 emerald
- 30 iron ore
- 30 gold ore
- 5k xp
- 30 xp levels
- 1 dirt block
- Wooden shovel
- 1400 Bonemeal etc.
- 10000xp
- 200xp

And the Rare Vote Crate Key would be redeemable in the main server anni lobby and the prize would be a random kit, even if you already have it, it doesn't matter.

Lol even if you vote 500 times there is no chance you will win that key, so you can vote 6 places in 1 day. So 500:6=84 days to get 1 kit.You can get kit in 3-14 days its not to op.

Cats I'm not sure you understand probabilities. If you've ever been on another server, you would have seen the rarity of vote crate keys let along rare ones. I've been playing survival for about a month, at least 3-4 hours a day. I have only ever seen 1 person get a rare vote key, the chat went absolutely crazy.

Vote keys are pretty rare, I mean I see one every 1 1/2 weeks or so. But the prizes are shit. Like really bad, people only ever get 5 emeralds in survival. Hence why the prizes I suggested aren't anything amazing.

Rare vote keys are like the lottery, everyone thinks they're in with a chance with winning it, only they aren't and some random dude who never plays shows up and wins it only to never log on again. If you still think this is op, the chance of getting a kit that is right for you is lowered since it is random, and you might get a kit you already have. If this is still op make it a 50% chance, so its nearly impossible to get it.

Btw I never said theses prizes/ probabilities are going to be fixed, I just suggested the concept of a voting reward system.

This is true, it's not strategically useful to vote in order to win a crate key, but itll attract people to do so.

 

Emmh maybe you are right, but getting a whole new kit only for being lucky is abit OP
i still think Vote Crate Keys are not something u put on annihilation, if they get added it think should be a random op prize IN-GAME, like a Sharpness4 iron sword

Meh, voting is already just weird. You get 500xp from voting on all of the links. That's equivalent to an op farm a day, so its unfair on people who actually waste their own time getting the stuff and having the luck to do that sort of thing. I was just thinking in the benefit of the server. None of the prizes are actually likely to happen. None in my opinion are op if you've ever seen other server crates.

If you're talking about the vote key crate prizes, those also have probabilities of getting them, the worse the item the more common it is sort of thing. I know this cos I've used 6 or 7 vote crates in survival and the best I've gotten was like 10 emeralds or some crap. I'm not sure if you still think this is op, cos that's what the voter needs to think; is this worth voting for? If the prizes were bad, they may feel it's not worth it
