»[Annihilation] Tips on Rushing a Nexus for Beginners/Civilians

Hi GuildCraft Community,

I would like to share some basic tips or strategies that could be useful for beginners with civilian kits for rushing a nexus at early stage.

Rushing and damaging the enemies nexus in the early game, such as Phase 2, is pretty important. At later phases, the teams will already be geared up on enchanted armor/weapons which makes it hard to reach the nexus. At late game, when everybody has his OP diamond gears, it will be almost impossible to get through nexus without strength/regen/health potions, high level enchants on armor and even gapple(s). If you damage the nexus early, lets say half way, you will not have a hard time once you reach Phase 5 (Damage points will double).

I would like to list a few ideas on how to prepare a quick rush to the enemy's nexus:

Use Gold Picks to destroy a nexus - they are fastest!

During Phase 1, do not bother making yourself some armor. Just make an iron pick and collect about 30 gold. burn them and deposit them in your ender furnace. this will provide you with at least 10 gold picks, meaning 10 rushes to a nexus. After every rush, take 3 gold ingots, craft a pick and place the rest back in your ender furnace. Try to be at enemy's nexus when Phase2 starts.

Tip: You will be able to enchant your first pick with unbreak 2 eff 2 when you use the higher level enchantment table for the first time in the game.

Tip: Spam Right-Click to repair your gold pick while breaking the nexus.​

Take off your leather armor and sneak into their base

It takes some practice, patience and timing but people at early phase are busy mining ores for their gear. They hardly notice you at the edge of the world sneaking into their base especially when you take off your yellow, blue, red armor which really gets your attention.

Tip: Note that sneaking will make your name tag fade away and in distance completely disappear.​

Use tunnels when in small groups

If you are not alone, I would advise you not to pass at the edge of the map. You will always get caught in my experiences. Some maps like coastal or canyon have their already existing tunnels leading to the nexus. Sneak through these and you will be save.

Tip: If you are the only one with a gold pick, then let the other defend you. At early game, people will not have good gears either. One effective method is bow spamming. This is annoying as hell but super effective. Imagine yourself in Canyon's nexus, 1 person breaking the nexus with a gold pick and 2 other players defending you by spaming arrows at anyone who tries to enter the "pyramid" they usually die with 3 hits since they still wear leather.​

Rush the team dominating on mid/diamond's spawn

At Phase 3, diamonds spawn at mid and usually everybody starts rushing there. The Duration between Phase 3 and Phase 4 will mostly decide which team owns mid. So all the "strong" players of that team will be mining diamonds, meaning nobody is at their base guarding their nexus. Become a hero and damage the leading team's nexus!


Do not attack the same team's nexus immidiately

If you rush the same nexus over and over again in a really short time, it will lead that the team sets up guards which will kill you before even entering the nexus room.

Tip: Rush green, then red, then yellow, then green again and so on. Another way is not to always rush from the same side. Rush the nexus from left, next run on the right, then the third run you use a tunnel. Be creative ​

These basic strategies can be further improved into countless ways using different classes like 2 persons breaking a nexus as Assissin using Haste boost with eff2-gold picks which will destroy a nexus in seconds, and so on, just to mention one.

This shall just be a little rushing guide for beginners/civilian because it hurts me to see people rushing with red armor, breaking the nexus with a stone pick and make like 5 damage points.

If you're getting lazy to Mine some gold you can use this technique

1. Be friendly to everyone else get some bunch of scrublords that want fast xp and communicate via ts3 or skype
2. Get 1 wood and Craft is as a stick get 3 cobble stones and tell it to your friends to do the same
3. Get a one guy that will piss or confuse the enemy to get out the base if no one is on the nexus all go together 3 man will block the stairs to continue destroy the enemy nexus
(This technique works for clans and bunch of scrubs)


2. If you cannot dominate the mid With your team
Make sure you guys set a trap even you don't have a suicide scorpio and a swapper trapper
Like Destroying the Way to Mid On phase 2 or phase 1 it depends if you're role is to support your teammate

3. You can use the flowers to make it as color dye and disguise as other team and HOLD SHIFT and walk backwards do it on tunnels (Depends on situation)

4. Best Nexus Rusher TIP Combo

Get 27 Gold Ore SMelt it
Make Invi pots by buying on shop of the game
1 Brewing Stand
1 Nether wart
1 Golden Carrot
1 Fermented Spider Eye
1 Redstone (Optional) or glowstone
3 Water Bottles
1 GunPowder (Optional if you guys team rushing)
Place the Brewing stand and the 3 water bottles after that place nether wart if it is done place the golden carrot and proceed to fermented spider eye put the fermented spider eye to make invi pots for 3 MINS if you want to make it longer put redstone which is 8 MINS if you want to hit the nexus while your invisible use the glowstone if you want to make it splash put some gunpowder on it

Nice Tutorial, I'll be following the strategies reavealed to me in this tutorial before I get a better kit

I rage alot when I get full Iron and then die because of 99999x1 in the mid or the enemy base so I'll be probably setting my eyes on the assassino kit and shrekt their nexus

 

Have seen you in a game or 2.
You just bum rush at mid so ofc you get rekt.
Always keep an eye out for enemy swappers/scorpios.

Very useful indeed
As a tip, this is what I personally do

1.Hurry up and make a Iron Pickaxe

Mine the iron with a regular Soulbound Pickaxe (Wood) and smelt it

2. Collect 30 Gold Ores and smelt them

I usually just go ahead and mine 15 gold ore real quick and put it for smelting then quickly collect the remaining 30

3. Make 10 Golden Pickaxe & Enchant all of them

Yes , this sounds abit insane/crazy but yeah. When you collect 30 gold ores you get atleast enough xp to enchant them all with the Level I (Level 1) enchant ( You will usually get Efficiency/Unbreaking or Efficiency II if you are lucky)

4.Collect a slab and make a Single chest

Once you are done enchanting the 10 Golden Pickaxe take a slab (usually found near the melon farm in some maps/look for it/Make it) and find a super secret place near your base. Break a block, place the Chest and put a Slab above it, once you are done with that...Cover up the place cleanly so no one suspects the place and literally starts looking for the chest. (Be sure to check your surroundings , no one should see that you have a chest...place it Super carefully)

5.How to use this trick:

Some of you might have got it already, but for those who haven't: Just take out a golden pickaxe and Rush to the enemy nexus, You will eventually die...then go and pick up another Pickaxe from the secret chest and rush over again.

 

Yes, its indeed useful if you dont have xrayers in the team ;-)

 

lol use miner.. u can get all the gold at phase 1 7:00.
Miner is one of the best kits even alot of peoples say it sucks, they just dont use it right.
