Hello, here's a suggestion for anni: hackusation results in a mute, and the main rationale behind it is because actual hackers may quit the game/toggle off hacks if someone calls them out, making it difficult for admins to check. A few other problems with it is that allowing hackusation may cause players to spam the chat, or some may feel harassed especially if they aren't hacking but are unfairly accused (from what i have gathered from a previous thread).

However, sometimes people need their teammates to warn them of hackers from other teams so they know who/which team to avoid, or sometimes new players aren't aware of buffs that other kits have (eg. scout's extra range), and muting them won't do them any good.

So my suggestion is to allow hackusation in team chats, but only if the hacker being accused is in a different team.

Instead of hackusating, which leads you to a mute, you can always say such things like 'Don't fight Player123', 'Careful fighting with Player123', 'Don't rush Red, they have Player123' . We alr warned you, also let you use some words mean Hacker, but you still hackusate.
Don't think this suggestion is good.

No, we can't use the word magic or magician. I saw a guy got muted even for saying 'Recorded' or 'Magician', because all of those means you accuse someone. All of others sentences are correct though, it doesn't directly accuse the hacker.

I have seen mutes happening from the "Dont't rush red, they have Player123". Also players with forum accounts like me say "Magic" instead of "Hack" will get muted anyways because its supposed that we know the rules.

Btw, hackusating in team chat doesn't help, just saying.

hmm if it doesn't seem to improve gameplay, then okay, lets keep hackusation mutable.

but if it does, and we use alternatives like 'Don't fight Player123', 'Careful fighting with Player123', 'Don't rush Red, they have Player123' in all chat, the hacker will still know that someone found out he's hacking and may once again turn off hacks or quit the game. Even if we say such things in team chat, it's no different from specifying what hacks Player123 is using.

He got a very good point there plus dun forget hackusating can notice the hacker and make him toggle. Personally I think Hackusation mutes are too long though aka (they are not as bad as caps or flood :/), but rules are rules so yeah ..

Yes, hackers may toggle their hacks if they see that someone has hackused(?) them, but this suggestion is to allow it in team chat, so hackers in other teams won't notice that someone has accused them and won't toggle their hacks. Obviously, hacuksation in team chat should only be allowed if the hacker is in another team.

Also, you say that rules are rules, but if I remember correctly, swears that weren't targetted at anyone used to be a mutable offence, and that the purpose of suggestions is to improve something in the game, which includes rules which may seem redundant in some cases.

That does not help, if the whole point of not hackusating is so that the hacker won't toggle off hacks and make it difficult for admins to check if they're hacking. And what's the point of saying that in team chat just because you can't say "omg XYZ hacks", if ultimately the hacker won't know that people are accusing him?

Some people can't record and others can
If someone said in teamchat :
    "Player123 is hacking"
I would get my recording software on and report him
And if i didnt i would avoid him as mentioned in the posts above
Oh and btw only 1% of the hackers toggle off when they get hackusated
Because they know staff are rarely on and if they get banned its easy to come back so they wont care

    Hai!

I see where you're coming from since the hacker might be on a different team but you're missing the main point. There are lots of possibilities which contribute to accusing in general. For example, there might be a player in your team that is associated with the hacker in some way, and if you accuse the person then that person may be able to warn the hacker that he might get caught. There's also a possibility of there being a hacker in your team which reads the accusing and assumes that you're talking about him/her and toggles off. Allowing accusing in any way might also lead to the recurrence of it through misunderstanding and such. There's always helpop to refer to when you think someone's hacking, and don't worry, I can assure you that admins read helpops. No hard feelings tho, just my thoughts ^^

oooh oke, i guess it's still safer to keep hackusation mutable then. thanks for explaining, and i think this thread can be locked! :))
