I've recently discovered that there's a limit of mobs per chunk, and not just any, but only 4 MOBS! And whenever there's a fifth mob entering a chunk, one of them simply vanishes! SRSLY, WTF!!! This is totally ridiculous! It totally ruins the mob-related gameplay! It makes people literally unable to breed animals and make big spawner farms as most of the mobs get erased after being spawned! Once, I was farming music discs and luring 2 creepers to a skeleton to be shot and one of the creepers was GONE!!! just because there were a few rabbits wandering around! Whoever came up with this stupid idea is gone mad! I know the lag needs to be reduced somehow, but not the gameplay's expense! You can't just reduce lagging by ruining players' iron farms, villages, and sheep pastures! IT'S ALL RUINED DUE TO THIS LIMIT!!!
mob per chunk limit does not reduce lag. people bypass this limit by using more chunks to have a bigger farm. there must be a rule about huge farms. limit the mobs per player or per claim. this will reduce lag but you can still have many mobs in 1 chunk. edit. before people get mad. I know I have 64 iron farms. this is I got blind by baltop goal. I see clearly now. If my farms cause any lag I dont mind removing some. If they lag.
Finally! The first rationally speaking person I've met today! Totally agree, that's what I've been basically saying!!! There's no need to make people lose their mobs that they spent time and money breeding or buying their eggs to just reduce a stupid farm lag when it DOESN'T EVEN WORK!!! People simply bypass the limit by expanding their farms for more chunks! It doesn't limit anything, simply ruins! Ruins the gameplay! Especially, villagers as their eggs are worth the most! Many players like to build and own their own villages, and now, they simply can't! If you ever build a village and put villagers in there, they'll just gradually vanish whenever they enter the same chunk until there's only a few left! It ruins building possibilities, not only farms!
There has been a reduction on mob spawns and entities per chunk recently due to server lag. Mobs and redstone cause lag on the server and many people were abusing this for their own sake. I do understand your frustration but unfortunately if the limit is removed then people will start abusing it again. This is so everyone can have a lag free experience on the server.
...As I said before, people will abuse in ANY way by simply distributing their mobs for more chunks. Who wants to abuse will always find a way to do it. This stupid limit doesn't do any good but just wastes people's time and money on bypassing it and make them suffer material losses. It also ruins the life for folks like me who simply wanna build villages and cities with villagers in there walking around freely. ...Honestly, if only villagers weren't limited, I wouldn't mind. I just wanna build a city and don't want it to be empty. It's what I personally care about the most. Yes, I definitely agree with this. they should make a rule about abusing huge farms, not limit the mobs per chunk so very drastically
