Dear community!

It's a long thread, but I believe it's worth reading it. Excuse me for the possible spelling mistakes. My main language is dutch as I live in Belgium. Help me get the owner to see and read this thread <3

Introduction
My name is Alexander (CaptainMeoow) none of you will know my name unless you used to play on MCW-Network a network that shut down after 7 years. I was a Staff-Member on there for 3 years and a member for like 5 - 6 years. My love for that network was huge and I will always miss it.

But recently a friend of mine told me he wanted to find a server and buy it. He told me I'd be allowed to own the server with him and that together we would fix it and make it grow again.
Then I remembered Guild-Craft a server as old and loved as MCW. I decided to come here and see how things were done here and I noticed a problem MCW used to have too. A owner who loves his "child" but doesn't have enough time to take care of it, although he wishes he had.

When a issue like that appears you can decide to let your "child' die or let it go.
I have tried to convince aXed to sell the Network to me and my friend, but I had to communicate with him by contacting the head-admins. Out of this came that you wouldn't want to sell it, for sure not to someone you don't know. But I don't want you to make the same mistake as the owner of MCW did, he even refused to sell it to me his friend. He rather had it die than sell it. Now it's gone and people still miss it everyday and all his work of 7 years is just gone. He let many people who always supported him down and I am sure you don't want that to happen aXed.



My personal message for you aXed
I would never claim you are a bad owner, as you have build this network up and kept it alive for years. You have hundreds of people who supported you and loved your network but you can not let them down. You have given this network all effort you could and everyone who truly cares about this network is grateful for that. But I am afraid if you won't take action all the effort will be lost. All those people will be disappointed and all of them will lose something they love and care about. You don't know me, that's true. But I can promise you I am a friendly, caring, loyal and respectful person. I will make sure your network will be repaired were needed, updated and cleaned.
I will rebuild it and make it grow bigger again, but that's only possible if you make a big decision. The decision to let go, without letting your community down.

I beg you to allow me and my friend to buy this network and repair it. I promise you I will take good care of the network if you allow me. I promise you you will never be forgotten and I promise you I only have good intentions and that I will try to love this network as much as I loved MCW.

Please consider my offer even though you don't know me. We can discuss all other details in private. I will not stop trying to convince you until I have had the chance to convince you personaly.



My personal message for the Staff-Members & Builders
I am a polite, friendly and caring person. But I am also kinda strict when it comes to the staff team. My friend who would also be owner isn't, so we'd have a bad and a good cop.
Before you start to panic everyone will keep their staff role, if the owner wants to sell me his network.

I'll manage the team myself the first month and I'll see how you guys are doing and behaving and after that I'll see if you reach my standards. Considering you are all staff and I have faith in the network leaders of GC I am sure you are all doing a great a job. After I have seen how it works and who does what I'll probably name two people staff-manager to manage it for me. But don't worry I will always be active on discord and the higher tier staff will be allowed to have my whats app, so I will have close contact with all of you.
I am against favoritism, everyone is equal and everyone has to base their opinion on what people do and how they behave not who they are. If you agree on that I think we would already get along.
You'll also be staff everywhere, but with a main server u play the most on.

All builders will be appreciated as much as staff-members and also rewarded properly for their hard work. I will need you guys as much as the staff when fixing the server, so I hope I can count on your support as well.

I look forward to working with you people and I hope the owner gives us that chance.



My personal message for the Community
I feel like I don't have to convince the owner only, but also you guys. As with a new owner would come changes and I truly need your support if I want to be the new owner of this network.

First my friend and I would look into the rules and other stuff then fix those as we see fit together with the current staff-team. In the meanwhile a friend of him will be hired as "Developer" as after that the real work will start. Each server will be fully remade/updated. All bugs and issues will be fixed and all of your suggestions will be considered in this progress. We'll add new spawns/hubs and themes in each server. The forums and discord will also get a fresh look and get some changes in the organisation. We'll start hosting events to attract more players, think about give-aways, drop parties, PvP events, ... As I said before all servers will get a new season and a huge update/revamp. But during those seasons multiple smaller updates will be done until the season ends, servers as factions will mostly end with a big EOTW event. When the current servers are stable, we will start adding new gamemodes.

We would make server trailers and we would look into the youtuber rank. We would reward support and advertisemen well. Ofc we would also fix advertisement on minecraft server lists ourselves.
My friend and I will stay in touch not only with the staff-members but also with the community. We will join the server often to have a nice talk with our community members and supporters.

Everyone would keep their donator rank, without any doubt.

I can keep going and give you more details/information on my plans, but that's for when the owner allows me to buy it and fix it. If he allows us to take over many threads will follow for each server and the server in general.
But before that can happen I need you guys to support me and help me to convince the owner to sell this network. It has so much potential (thanks to axed who take care of it for years and build it). I am already hyped and looking forward to it, but I can't start without the support of the staff-team, build-team, community and ofc the current owner.



I really hope/wish that the owner will sell his network and that he will give me the chance to fix this and take care of it. I am aware it will be a very hard decision for him. I hope I can count on the support of every single one of you!

you do realize that guildcraft is a "network", you dont exactly have to own or buy the whole thing to have access to it and have content hosted on it.

each game mode is essentially its own independent server.

in the past there are plenty of examples of co-owners whom ran their own independent game modes and servers on guildcraft... tbh my friend, thats probably your best and only shot.
