I analyze kit trends and their usefulness in the game, though this cannot be 100% accurate, take this as a reference whether you are buying a kit or how to counter one another. Each kit is ranked by a letter: [S, A, B, C, D, F] (from best to worst). If you feel something is incorrect or disagree with something, comment below. Acrobat [A] - Allows you to double jump into the air when pressing the spacebar twice. You do not take fall damage and is also given a bow. First impressions are this kit can easily flee from battles, poke, and is useful in maps with a lot of hills or mountains. Overall the kit is gives a lot of output for harassing the enemy team which can annoy many and as TheCatsKing says, “I'm one of those who love doublejumping with Acro, doing a 360 spin and shooting an arrow Lol”. Archer [B] - Probably one of the most annoying kits in the game. If someone has mastered the art of spamming, you will be flaming them. The kit is cheap at a cost of 5k which is helpful for new players. A health potion is also included for the kit. Overall this kit is probably best used in Mini-Anni where players are near each other or for annoying people with your spamming skills. Assassin [A] - Assassin gives you the ability to go invisible for a decent amount of time with speed and high up into the air at initial use. This kit is not intentionally meant for PVP but it is alright due to double damage behind the back when upgraded. With its abilities, it's best used to rush the enemy's nexus to easily poke at the nexus. During the late game, they can be very useful to sneak that last bit of damage to the nexus. Overall this kit would be liked by people who don't farm and just want to go for the objective of the game. Berserker [B] - Unfortunately this is a kit not really used at the current state of Anni. It seems the kit is best used as a farming kit because every kill you get you gain a heart (up to 14) but the drawback is you start at 8 hearts plus +1 melee damage when below half-heart which could synergize with the new mage ability Vacuo. I feel this is a budget Vampire kit because it does not heal as fast as Vampire because it requires a kill for each heart regen. Overall if you don't want to save for Vampire, Berserker is probably the best for you. Cat [D] - Cat does do a pretty good amount of damage but also takes a lot of damage, so basically you are still even in PVPing. The only good thing overall about the kit is probably the speed. It really has no usefulness in any scenario, the best thing it can do is run. I would not recommend buying this kit but you do you. Chaos Lord [C] - The kit has a lot of utility to weaken or slow your opponent. You also get the benefit to gain 1 heart from a corrupted enemy. Though the drawback is that you get anxiety as the description of the kit says which weakens you and a loud Guardian sound ear rapes your ear. Overall this kit has an interesting idea but it is too weak to be a decent kit. If a buff happens to be given this kit may be useful. Chef [C] - The kit is a support kit that can help your teammates a lot. Though medic is better because it restores health rather than restore your hunger. It gives strength which could be helpful but really not a significant change to your team so I don't think it can help too much. Though it helps with small stuff, it doesn’t overall help with the important stuff like health. Civilian [A] - The starter kit is actually one of the best kits in the game because it's the only kit that gives an iron sword, a stone pickaxe equal to a golden pickaxe. As you upgrade you just get more utility like cobblestone, bows, upgraded tools, and eventually to upgraded leather armor (Protection 1). It is expensive to max this kit but provides a very stable kit to PVP with. This has to be one of the best kits in the game. Defender [S] - As from its name defender is the best defender in the game. It provides the best support for itself in a battle and protects the nexus with landmines which unlock at level 3. He has two stances that allow the user to go aggressive or defensive which provide flexibility to the kit. In Mini-Anni this kit is best used because people can easily sneak into your nexus to poke at it but with landmines and your heavily kitted strength and regen, you are powerful in the nexus. Dryad [D] - Dryad's kit is probably most useful as a defender for the Nexus since it has an ability to stun people coming into the nexus. Though this is basically it for its usefulness can't really compete with Defender because defender dominates it in so many ways. Dryad just lacks utility but if it were to get some type of remake to compete with defender that would be cool. Enchanter [B] - Useful for farmers but not necessarily needed. It helps to gain levels faster as well as give you exp potions on top of that to help. When upgraded to level 2, you also get to help others farm by giving them the ability to get exp potions too, but I’m greedy and don’t buy it. It is an expensive kit to buy (40k) so if you want that extra boost in farming this will definitely help but if you don't plan on buying it, you don't need it, though some people will be ahead of you in farming. Flyer [F] - Though flyer kit seems to be a good kit for rushing into the nexus, there are just many better alternatives that are safer and easier to have that can get you to the nexus faster. Flyer allows you and a teammate to boost into the air towards the direction you are pointing for around 50 blocks and you take no fall damage. Assassin fulfills this if your assassin is maxed because you give the effect of assassin to your teammates too. And as you know, assassin leaps into the air, gives you invis, and gives you speed. It would be better to max assassin rather than to get a separate kit that is worse than assassin. Frog [S] - This kit is basically a combination of Acrobat, Scorpio and Squid, Double shift to launch yourself in the direction you looking at. but takes away 2 hunger points. And you take no fall damage. meaning this is perfect along with Acrobat for maps like Canyon, Ayeslands. and any map with cliffs and mountains. Use your lead to pull enemies and kill them quickly. Good for early rushing to gain fast XP in early Phases. Upgrades give you extra abilities so I highly recommended this kit. Goblin [A] - This is a very good kit to farm gold and rush the nexus. Gold pickaxes are best used for the Nexus and so the goblin does its job by obtaining gold nuggets that can be turned into ingots and rushing the nexus with its speed. The kit is best used for rushing to damage the nexus and is a hybrid by easily getting gold for itself. Grinch [B] - Allows you to spawn an elf that deals 2.5 true damage to the person that it exploded. This is useful in 1v1 situations or killing farmers that have good gear. Also, it is good to be used with teammates to deal more and more damage to the enemy or the farmer. But it has a long cooldown so use it wisely. Handyman [B] - The only kit that can repair the nexus back to full health and give it more. Handyman is best used if it is upgraded to max because most of its output is used when maxed. Upgrading to level 2 gives you a chance to repair the nexus twice, level 3 upgrades your pickaxe to a stone efficiency 2, and at level 4, you are able to repair the nexus by killing enemies before phase 4. These upgrades give a lot of support towards helping the nexus but they are very expensive. Overall the kit is insanely helpful for your nexus but the kit is costly in order to fulfill its maximum output, which is why I give it a B. Ion [D] - Throw your ender pearl on your enemies. If they get hit by it, they get Ionized. meaning they get teleported in an obsidian box for 6 seconds. giving you enough time to heal or run away. or call a teammate to help you kill that player. You can be as creative as you want. It works well if you can build a trap and ionize the enemy there so they get confused about what you built. But other than that, it really lacks uniqueness, it mainly focuses on just trapping someone and nothing else. Jumper [A] - Use your jumping abilities to teleport yourself 16 blocks ahead, (10 seconds cooldown). this kit is pretty good for running away from battle or poking the nexus. Basically, if you are low on health you could escape pretty much any scenario. a swap trap, thrown into the void. Overall, you can escape almost any situation. It is recommended you use this kit to farm or sneak into the enemy’s nexus. Lumberjack [S] - A farmer’s worst nightmare. Lumberjacks will obliterate your armor and you are done. Just imagine when lumberjack is in free rotation, it won’t last long. The kit is also helpful if you decide to gapple farm (haven’t seen anyone do it in a while) with an ability called leaf blower which will instantly destroy leaves to get the apple you need. Lumberjack does help with farming somewhat and is an anti-farmer kit so I give this a good rating.
