I am getting slow connection. Like very slow i am getting an average of 1000 ping on the server. When i join annihilation it shows that i am getting good connection but i am lagging like crazy. I can connect to the server with no issues.
Hi Origamer2006, You mentioned that it shows that you're getting a good connection, but then proceed to say that you're also getting 1000 ping. It doesn't make sense. It might be an issue on your side, here are some options to try, if you haven't already. 1. Restart your router and try to log on the server. 2. Make sure not too many family members are using the internet (YouTube, Netflix, etc) 3. Finally, check other minecraft servers out and make sure that it's not just happening on GuildCraft, and if it is, then it's probably a server issue. Let me know if any of these works, and I'll be happy to give you a hand if possible from there. Goodluck!
Hey, As already stated above, you can try these If none of the above work, you could also try to: Use an Ethernet Cable, instead of Wi-Fi. Either that or use a Wi-Fi Antenna to increase your connection; Switch the server's IP. Use .org instead of .nl / .nl instead of .org; If you have the spare money, you can use a VPN to increase your connection (heard it works, not 100% sure) Move closer to the router, and move the antennas to an upwards position. That's all I can tell you to do now. Message me, or answer in this thread, if your problem isn't fixed! Thank you, ~Troz
I've never seen a VPN that helps increases your connection or even lowers your ms, even if you live in EU and use a US VPN, you'll get better ping without using the VPN correct me if I'm wrong but also send me a vpn that does that
the lag isn't always because of your internet, maybe the server was having some problems.. do you get that ping every time you join annihilation or did you get it only once or twice?
Hello Origamer2006, to troubleshoot your --connection /lag/ high-ping-- you must turn off your rooter, before turning it on again unplug the cable that connects to pc to the internet for 5-10 seconds then put it back in. Then turn on your rooter and "HOLD WINDOWS KEY AND R" then type in "cmd" (it should look like this) "Press OK" next in the command prompt, type in "ipconfig/flushdns" and press ENTER your command prompt should appear like this: It is called flushing your "DNS CACHE" DNS CACHE causes problems in connections speed thus this is the root of all bad internet experience. (DON'T DO THIS FREQUENTLY) (+NO VPN enhances internet speed it only lets you to safe browse) ENJOY!!!
I've heard of people doing it, can't confirm it actually helps. Sorry about that mr.super duper intelligent. Edited it just for you -.-
Thx!, I really appreciate that you took out the time to write this but the issue fixed itself! But next time i will make sure to try this!
Why are you so mad for? lol you're telling him to go spend money to buy a VPN to make his connection better when it doesn't work so I just corrected you and let him know that VPNs don't help your connection, it just changes your IP, location and lets your browse safely and for some reason you're mad because I corrected your mistake which could lead him to waste his money on an overly expensive VPN that won't help him
U could clean up ur ethernet Cables if they're filled with dust inside and outside, they slow ur connection for sure Or even clean ur CPU if u wanna get more fps
