I thought this video was interesting so here is a quick summary of the video. For 1.8 users (applies for 1.8-1.8.9) server owners can look at your personal files with a few simple commands. There is a mod you can download if you are paranoid about this.

aXed doesn't even have enough time for gc so I doubt he'll check personal files too.

I have already sent this out in the anni discord prior to this. Thank you for sharing it with everyone else now. Obviously you will be safe on gc without the mod but be careful when connecting to random servers.
