    Hello everyone, this is Andrew.

As the title says, this will be a tutorial on how to make a decent application for the Moderator rank. so let's jump into it :)

The Moderator or Mod rank is the first Staff rank you can apply for.
    The job mainly consists
in managing the chat and answering questions.

Now, let's discuss the requirements below:
At least 15 years old. (14 or younger, don't apply.)
Active for at least 3 months.
Knowledge and Experience in and about Minecraft.
    English (Language) *Proper English grammar.
    Knowing our rules by heart.
    Adult and neutral behavior.
Clean history for at least 3 months. (Small mutes don't matter)
You are not allowed to be staff on another server.

Of course, the Age rule is highly associated with the Adult and neutral behavior one. In most cases, we can not expect a 12 year old player to be deemed as a role Model for everyone else in the server.
The activity requirement now, is pretty vital, in order to qualify for the rank you have to be active in the server as well as known in it, but preferably popular and not notorious for your actions.
You need to have a clear history for at least 3 months, and that is associated to the neutral behavior above.
When you have the Mod role in mind, you have not to be involved in arguments/flaming in the server, be helpful to others but do not overdo it(for example telling a staff member how to do their job, that will ruin your chances) and treat others respectfully. There is this misconception, that if you do not talk in chat you dwindle your chances to get muted. That goes to show that you're anti-social however, which also ruins your chances of qualifying for the rank. The rest of the rules are pretty clear, so I will not go over them.

Now let's get to the Tips part about the Application :)

1: Do NOT lie about how many languages you can speak. We're not looking for a translator, languages are just an additional bonus so you do not waste time on google translate, lying about the languages you speak will reduce your chances of being promoted.
2: Do NOT lie about the amount of time you have played on the server. The Head Admins can check your exact join date so lying about that just makes you look like you're thirsty to be an OG, or you're just trying too much to look like an old player.
3:Regarding the How much do you know about commands and plugins question, you are supposed to answer whether you are familiar with the commands a Moderator has to know or not, pretty much.
4: Do NOT feel bad about not having donated to the server. It is not a must, mostly shows how long you have been playing for but it really doesn't matter that much, do not lie about it or say that you will do so in the future, not needed.
5: Do NOT lie about you in-game activity, that can be checked from the Head Admins as well and lying about it will probably result in a rejection. Just be honest and try to be as active as you can, especially during the last weeks before you apply
6: When you are asked to talk about yourself, do NOT start rambling about what your dog's name is, how much you love McDonalds and KFC or how much you love playing GuildCraft, that one will be answered in the question below , don't go all out in trying to persuade us you're the one for the rank ;)
7: Regarding your motivation, do NOT overdo it. I'm not really into people's minds but I think there's a lot more enjoyable things than playing on a block game server. Don't just try to persuade us you absolutely LOVE playing on the server and helping people out, that's what everyone says. You want to be a bit innovative, without lying of course, if that's all you're feeling then do so. It would be good if you talked about how you have a role model, such as a Staff Member , or how you feel like it's finally the time for you to move on from being a normal player and make others' gaming experience as fun as possible.
8: Do NOT ramble in the last question, Anything else you would like to add. I wouldn't suggest leaving it empty, you could explain another reason you'd like to become a staff member, and keep in mind jokes are not really appreciated in this type of application. If there's nothing on top of your head at that moment, just type a <Thank you for reading my application>

And this was my tutorial, it's a revamp of Honey's one but a lot of people are not aware of his thread and I thought I could help out those who wish to join the staff team in the future.

Quick disclaimer: These are just some tips based on my personal experience, if you want to type about potatoes in your application do so, but be ready for the consequences
