Our first monthly newsletter is here! I’m doing this as part of improving communication between me and the community. You guys can keep up to date with whats going on and what is to be expected each month!
New anticheat
Today we launched our new anticheat on PracticePVP. The new anticheat improves hit-detection, knockback and of course gets rid of (most) of the hackers! Currently, the new anticheat doesn’t ban yet but kicks instead. These kicks will slowly turn into bans. Our faction server also gets this new anticheat.
PracticePVP
PracticePVP has been reset. We will most likely do this every 2 months from now on. There are also new additions coming up for our PracticePVP server. You can also experience our new hit detection and knockback here. These changes are not final and might need some more tweaking.
Friends
It took a while but you can now add friends on GuildCraft. Friends have the following commands:
- /friend list - List all your friends
- /friend msg <name> <msg> - Message a friend
- /friend add <name> - Add a friend
- /friend accept <name> - Accept a friend request
- /friend deny <name> - Deny a friend request
- /friend remove <name> - Remove a friend
- /friend jump <name> - Go to the server of your friend
- /friend settings - Change your friend settings
Communication
If there is something I'm bad at it is my communication with the community. I want to apologize for this and promise you guys that this will improve. Your suggestions and opinions are being heard, the thing I need to do is respond them so you know we're working on it. Not all suggestions can be implemented, mainly due to the lack of developers. Keep in mind we as a cracked server do not earn enough to hire a full-time developer.
New Rules
Insiding (Factions Rule)
Insiding a faction is strictly prohibited and will result in a perm ban of all accounts linked to the insider. Claims will be given back to the faction and Base structure will be repaired. BUT IN GAME ITEMS WILL NOT BE RETURNED
Maximum 20 chunk buffer (Factions Rule)
Faction are from now on allowed a maximum of a 20 chunk buffer at their base. A 20 chunk buffer is equal to 160 walls. The buffer is measured from the exterior wall of your base (this means from your FIRST wall until your LAST wall), it does not include walls inside the base itself. If a faction has a buffer that passes it's 20 chunk limit they will be asked to correct it themselves, which of course means unclaiming the buffer and correcting the issue. If a faction refuses to do so an admin may unclaim it's buffer and it can face stricter consequences. NOTE: it is also prohibited to have a raid claim (cannon claim) in front of your 20 chunk buffer limit to protect yourself from attacking factions. (you are allowed to make a cannon box/claim far BEHIND cannons which attack your base, which u use to blow cannons that attack your base up. But it is strictly forbidden to use these cannon boxes to patch inside to protect your base) It is also forbidden to have your allies or friends claim in front of your buffer to patch for you when you are being raided by another faction. If you do not completely understand this rule, make sure to contact a staff member to clear up any uncertainties
