»[PlayerBase] Improvements that can be done before its too late

Alright so.. right into the suggestions..
So basically,this thread is not for those "gc is ded" kind of people but instead for those who actually want to help it be better again.

1) Advertise the server in the proper way.
One of the ways for doing this can buying the sponsored server package on one of these websites so that the server is listed at the topmost position and it catches the eye of any other normal player.
Doing this can steadily increase the playerbase and help the server alot. I know that a little more investment of money will be required for buying this but its worth it.

2) Less p2w and something which keeps a player occupied
Now, what ive mostly seen in smaller server and how they grow is, they make their server as less p2w as possible and use certain ways to keep their players occupied in their server. Doing this the amount of players online stays almost the same and people of different time zones also find some company. About the p2w, well we all know that maintaining such a huge server requires alot of work, but as we all know, little sacrifice has to be made before something or someone is successfull.

3) Frequent updates
Bringing something new frequently will keep the players excited for 'whats next' and wont get them bored of the same thing the whole time. Doing what players actually want and considering suggestions and implementing them into the game will be a difficult task but that makes the community a lot more happier of what they have.
It also makes them satisfied and this can bring about more players making suggestions for the server.

4) Have hosted events
Now, im not talking bout the usual events on different gamemodes hosted by the respective H-A's. Im talking bout server wide events or maybe gamemode wise but the main thing players look for here is the reward that they get. Like for an example - There is this event in skyblock and the prize is a deadbush. Of course no one would be interested, but what if it was a "RANK"???(ofcourse not an expensive one) players would come running to the event in a hope of winning a rank.

5) Hire YTers
Well everyone knows this, but this can be a very significant step in increasing the playerbase. Everyone knows how this works, Owner pays a YTer to record on the server, the server gains players by the YTer's viewers. Its pretty simple but helpful.

So.. This was my list of few suggestions in reviving GC.


Well, ik i am one of those who says that 'gc is ded' and 'ive wasted my money here' but i thought whats the point of trashtalking a place that made up my memories since past few years..
Also that I decided to come back to gc (even tho no one gives a single fk xD)i thought why not do my 'part' in making this server a good and fun place again.

Corrections and Criticism is most welcomed.
Any more suggestions can be added.

GC isn't dead, the playerbase is still decent. Just because they had a fall from 4000 players online to 400, within 2 years that doesn't mean it's dead. It will not die as soon as there are frequent donations running.

Hm.. i agree to what you have said. But there are reasons which have also contributed to its decrease in playerbase. But yes ofcourse it wont die with the donations still comming in.
