This morning, I played some Minecraft, and as always, the CPU usage is almost 100%, which gave me a solid 45+ fps, and a fan that is squealing for air.
Later today, I started Minecraft again, and the fan was silent, with low CPU usage. It is not good as I had only 10 fps or so. How can I force Minecraft to use the computing potential I have?

To resolve this, press this sequenced key on your keyboard to open Task Manager.

    Shift + Ctrl + Esc

You'll require Task Manager to force the full usage for Minecraft. There should be a program known as either "Javaw.exe" or "Java.exe' if you're running on the versions of Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10. Irregardless of whether it's a Home Edition, Professional Edition or even if it's the Full Edition, it still works similarly.

Right click the directed program and hover your mouse over "Set Priority", then left click for "High".

If you're starting to overclock your PC, this might lag if you're not setting it to a minimum usage of CPU 0, 1 and 2. Depending on how many CPUs you own on that PC, only set it to use 3/4 of the total CPUs you have. To set this, you have to...

Right click the directed program again, then hover your mouse over "Set Affinity", then check the 3 boxes of CPU 0, 1 and 2. Un-tick the box of CPU 3.

As if you don't do so, this causes massive lag to your PC since you're on a potato PC. If you only have 2 CPUs, it should only display as "CPU 0, CPU 1".

    I hope this helps!

You don't need a gaming PC to run 60fps+

the problem isn't from your computer, it happened to me too, what you need to do is to install the last Java update, then restart your computer..
Java released a new update today that's why it happened to you this morning..
you can find a Java icon demanding for an update here (i don't have it now because i already updated it)

Just like what he said! :)

You could also try updating your graphics driver's version, that could solve the issue as well.

It should be there, unless if you've edited one of the parser of a Java file in your .minecraft folder?
