As everybody knows there is a rule named "Speak only English in the public chat" or something. I see a lot of players don't really like it and they are saying that it is "racism" against the other languages (I am agreed with them as well ^^) I suggest to remove this rule or at least warn 2-3 times before mute for this reason, this can help the other players understand they are doing something against the server rules and they have to stop. Thanks for reading. EDIT: I understand what staffs are trying to do with this rule, they can't understand all languages(that's why this rule is active) Maybe make a separate chat for other languages like "/g" or something and implement that non-English chat filter.
https://www.guildcraft.org/threads/plugin-suggestion-non-english-chat-filter.53318/ It got accepted a month ago and shit hasn't been done about it
Only English in chat rule For: Easier to moderate chat as only one language Majority of players understand English Against: Threatening or swearing but nobody would know unless staff knows the language Can be viewed slightly as discrimination, although it is not meant to be taken personally Players of different languages cannot enjoy effortlessly GC and may be lost My opinion is to make a separate chat for other languages like "/g" or something and implement ^ that non-english chat filter.
Wait so you now want staff to be able to speak all the languages too so we know if someone is swearing in French and German or even Chinese? Rules aren't just in place to be an inconvenience yoguan they are there to help staff too
