Since the SkyBlock issue happened. I would recommend having a major backup? The owner should have rights in the servers and data since you hired him (i think?) Isn't it in the contract? If its just a partnership between them, the co-owner and owner are responsible in the company (GuildCraft). So if any of them did something irresponsibly or a disaster happened, the company will be affected. Something like this happened on a World of Warcraft private server when a high ranking employee went rogue. But the owner acted instantly and made an action that would satisfy players even though the data were lost. WoW did was: - refund of donate coins based on donations - additional donate coins for compensation - also vote coins were added In a Minecraft's case, well if u guys can, it would be good to have a backup on all data Backup on all data including - Current in-game money - Current in-game donate coins - Current in-game vote coins - Items inside the Enderchest - Items in the player's inventory (if possible) - Total Claimblocks - and other stuff that a player buys using their own money. Compensations are recommended for the people who are affected, which are the SkyBlock players. To prevent things like this to happen in the future where the some data are lost and takes a lot of time to resolve. A backup plan would take in place if ever something like this would happen Make sure to have a updated backup copy per week? per month? It wouldn't mind I guess if a rollback happens instead of losing all the player's progress in the game. I'm pretty sure some people will have doubts now about donating since issues like this could happen and having no backup plans. Also If ever a reset would happen, please do your customers a favor to ease their burden and try to save their progress as much as possible. High satisfaction rate = Increase in population of loyal customers players, preventing the loss of customers/players As an I.T student, backup is the most important thing in any project. @aXed
