I wanted to create this post to clear some things up regarding the rules on GC. There is a large discrepancy between the rules which individual servers have on this community. Is there a reason for this?

It's clear that each HA creates their own rules based on what is best suited for the server they lead, an example being alts for PVP on factions. However servers also share a lot of commonality regarding certain rules, namely doxxing, and behaviour within the chat.

The discrepancy I am pointing out here is that each server has very small distinctions between what is considered appropriate in chat. This issue is further confused when it comes to staff, either individually or as a group determine whether something is a rule break or not. I will provide some examples:

The rules on the forum regarding in-game behaviour are pretty clear regarding using caps in the chat.

    However, on survival:

    On another server:

    And on another:

All in all, ambiguity in both the rules, and how they are interpreted (as above) creates a negative player experience.

I would suggest that rules such as the above, and any that have commonality between servers be standardised. Players will know what to expect, staff can act with parity. Better situation for all.
