So basically I couldn't load any of the other posts I made, nor the one Melon made to post it there, so I decided to just make this separate. Factions, needs a reset. Now I mentioned this in another area but I've got a few things to go along with this. Not only should factions receive a reset, I believe that in /warp info there should be a month expectancy for the next reset. Not an exact date, but just a sign stating which month it is projected to be in. This would help out with a few things. Any players who want to do upgrades, won't get interrupted by surprise resets / random resets that they may have never even been told of until the last, week. This will allow players who want to do upgrades, to know how much time is left in the reset approximately, thus the upgraders will be more knowledgable, and the ones getting upgraded, know the deadline for when they need to have their items up on the forum by. It'll answer any questions random people have regarding dates, half the time, the admins have to respond with "no date has been given" this sort of answer, leaves a lot of us hanging with no clue when its happening, and eventually, we get bored out of our minds waiting for it. This isn't exactly helping anyone, but it might. Perhaps the idea of a reset being projected in that month may help developers / admins who work on the reset become more aware of an expectancy? More over, it'll be less of a surprise / rush if the reset is planned in a certain month for developers, and it won't have caught them at a surprise and possibly, if worked on before, could even lessen their load of work if knowing the month helps them plan how they'll approach making the next reset. I just so happen to believe, every reset, players have to quite basically "riot" to get a reset, which really shouldn't be a thing, because it just so happens that every reset continues to get 'better' and receive more players. Suggestion (2) Being that, there is a possibility this reset that cannons are fully fixed, lag is fixed, and quite possibly, regen walls will no longer exist (even if they do), I think that the /tntfill command should be implemented only, when the 3x3 chunk area the player stands in contains 50+ dispensers. That would help immensely, of course it doesn't have to be 50 but it seems kind of useless anywhere near the 20s. Being that if large cannons are made, they not only will advance GC, will require a lot of work to build, being able to tnt fill, would be very helpful. Now to clarify, it would basically be like /tntfill 10 and it would insert 10 tnt into each dispenser, however if you do not have enough tnt in your inventory, you will not be able to fill it, and it will respond with an error / too little tnt in your inventory message. Redstone torches, which could've been implemented according to axed on the forum post regarding cannon test servers. I think that redstone torches, should be added. Despite it causing lag, nothing is worse than trying to make something that you see on video that uses redstone torches, and having to try to fix it to work with redstone blocks, pistons, and redstone dust. Not to mention lots of cannons use redstone torches rather than repeaters, which are often hard to fit in, thus redstone torches allow more compaction. Fixes (2) /Fixall Unsure of exactly if its supposed to be this way, but it just seems a bit inconvenient, in /fixall, it fixes all your items in your inventory, however it doesn't fix the armour you're wearing. I can't say this is a bug, but I definitely think that it should fix the armor you're wearing. And if it becomes a matter of using it in pvp, and if its too "op" then perhaps just make it so you can't use it in combat? Spawn / Lag / Overall Lag Again, unsure of where this problem lies, but quite a few people including myself, get insane lag spikes at unexpected times, not only in pvp but at random moments anytime of the day. There was once a moment a few weeks back, where it lagged so much, that players actually crashed, multiple times, this was at the night time for EST, and not only were they unexpected, but many players dropped from 4 bars to 2 bars and even 1 before they crashed. Lag also applies to the lag due to tnt in dispensers, which, I think should be fixed to handle cannons that'll use more tnt each shot. I also am not sure of what causes this lag, whether its farms or other things, but I think that if it comes down to it, there should be limitations to prevent factions and over all, players from creating any creation that causes insane lag, similar to regen walls which make a lot of players FPS drop, farms may also be a problem to reducing the lag. +1 Bleujay have placed the ride post Faction need reset because there is lag to much builds-old houses and things so make the reset fast ive you can thanks Whitou
BlueMockingJay, I agree. but if there server were to reset soon, wouldn't the items that the players offer for upgrade be useless if they were to disappear soon?
Oh yeah, same Square map makes physical claim aspects much more useful, corner claims are actually worth something, but GC makes it useless no matter what. There should be tactical advantages like that, making post regarding border now lel, ty for the idea. Oty :3 Anyways, urging admins to look at this and respond as its sort of getting to the point where more players are leaving due to the lack of things to do and boredom.
