So at anni we dont particularly like people that can see through walls, find our chests and see us crouching behind walls. Finding proof to ban a xrayer is extremely difficult as he will know whether you're following him or not, and he might not be interested in xrayer one game, but the next game he might be. However do not fret, for I have come up with a solution :3 Basically what I'm suggesting is a system to be made where 5 (could be more) random chests appear in each section of the anni map, these chests will be underground by at least 3/4 blocks and should not spawn too far away from the base, nor too near to the base. Nothing shall spawn inside the chest just blank, waiting for an xrayer to find it. Upon some nub finding it, he shall gain a point to his name, labeling him as a potential x-rayer. He shall then overtime find more chests if he likes, which should distinguish whether he is finding these chests by chance or if he is indeed an xrayer. He shall then reach a point where he has found 7 or more chests (meaning 7 points to his name) or something within a certain period of time (eg a month) this should confirm whether he is a xrayer. He should be either autobanned or an admin should be alerted about his wildly 'suspicious' behaviour. This idea can be extended to brewing stands spawning with plain water bottles spawning inside them, or even furnaces, (clusters of furnaces will tempt them further). Um so yea i guess that sums it up really. The amount of points they need to gather before being banned or worthy of a full check is up to the admins if they do accept this idea. But thanks for reading, and please leave feedback over how I can improve this idea further :3 -jag @Chisagu @KinqCake @Balot @TheCatsKing @Arjenpro @aXed @veryimportantpeeps:3
A 'lucky' person doesnt find 6+ chests in a week/month, how many times have you stumbled upon a chest in the last week or month even, I havent seen one, I just find the remains of xrayed chests, where there's a long hole down to an empty chest.
Welp good idea but admins would need to be basically in every single game near every single chest in /v so they can ban hackers. Really good idea jag but i dont know if its able to work. Anyways good luck with that ~Gio
I think Jaguar says the player who opens the chest for the first time, will be labeled as a potential xrayer. It actually mean a whole new system has to be created so his "tag" will remain there for months or something. I'm not sure though; this is what i understood, please correct me @jaguarkiller92
+1 but wot about TEAM GRIEFING IS NOT ALLOWED AND IS BANNABLE = DONE NO BREAKING CRAFTING TABLES NO STEALING POTS NO STEALING SMELTING STUFF NO TEAM TROLLING WITH TP OR ANY OTHER STUFF NO TEAM KILLING if aXed would do that anni would be better as some people say its a teamwork game , i cant see any teamwork <3 with love scar
Jaguar means this : If someone opens the chests that were hidden in the map , they will be tagged , and the system will tell the admins that ( Player ) has opened the chests at ( coord ) admin can go check him , and put chests around to see if he is xraying , so he can easely find if he has xray <3 with loev scarhd_ <3
@crykas a lot of old players now have x-ray, at least the ability to know where enemies are on the map. But I knew a lot of them in their early stages of anni, where they used to xray my chests, steal my potions and picks. What frustrates me is that they didnt get caught then, making it impossible for them to be caught now. My idea is there to tackle newbies that join, and aim to use xray. Btw when I say xray it tends to be both chestfinder and playeresp together. @geoarisfc exactly, its sort of an automated system so admins dont have to do much, they just get alerted when a player has found more generated chests than physically possible, that a normal player would find. The amount of chests that he needs to find before admins get alerted should be decided by them if the idea gets accepted, but say if that player finds all 5 chests in 1 anni game, there should be a system for autoban. and thanks for the support @GioPocketMaster
Aside from not stopping x-rayers from finding players inside walls, no one would be as stupid to keep digging those chests for nothing, it would appear really obvious. Even if it wasn't obvious, 7 is quite a large number to rate someone as a hacker. After they find 2-4 chests, they will realize something strange is going on since there's nothing in the chests. If the limit was too low, innocent people would end up finding them and get banned and there's really nothing we could do to prove otherwise. If there were multiple chests in very hidden positions with valuable loot inside, as time goes on, everybody would go around looking for them, digging the entire map. It would attract hackers to it, but in exchange, innocent people would get involved too. In case anyone wondered about this idea. In summary; this is too unspecific of a solution and will not stop x-rayers to a affordable extent. -1
-1 I got ban for x ray and other for using hack in ani ( experience talk ) basically people don't use x ray in anni there more thing (wall hack, tracer, playeresp ,nametag, radar, text radar , cave finder .... Other server using Orebufscator plugin as anti-xray i dont think this plugin can help more plugins=more lag I suggest script with WorldEdit spawn a chest/furnace/npc (shifting) in underground near player this script can be comanded ingame by admins like [checkx <player>]
Yeah, unfortunately this is the negative side of this suggestion. Some players might get banned by mistake. Also, I think some items like food, wood or stone material can be placed in the chests so they won't be empty Or have too valuable stuff.
wot about this there is loot in the chest like gold picks armor but when 30 seconds pass they dissapear from ur inventory or where u have the loot ??
Yeah, as I said before, that would attact and ban hackers to some extent... Until someone trips on it and screams "THERE'S CHESTS IN THE DIRT, DIG IT UP GUYS", then everyone would just start looking for it and we would have a crisis on our hands, innocent people would get banned and it would be impossible to distinguish innocent people from hackers.
One time I played UHC which is really good though . I started mining underground vertically downward, then suddenly an emerald ore, appeared, I tried to mine it but unfortunately, that precious block turned into stone xD. I found out that it was a fake ore, so I think this is a new plugin and it really helps the server to reduce xray users because all they see are fake ores xD, so add this toyour suggestion...
its true tho i never see teamwork rushes with like 20 ppls while In SB everygame that happens thats why i quit 1 of the reasons main : HAXORS
This combined with other chests on the map, the thing that keeps these xrayers going is finding good loot, i used to play tons of games where I would get 6 invis splash pots ready and 18+ eff2-3 picks in a chest so I could invis rush with my friends, occasionally i got xrayed, but nowadays every single match I place a chest within 5-10 minutes the stuff is gone. Xray is all over the place in anni, if one person doesnt find it someone else will. The trick will be obvious for long time players, but this will act as a deterrent, people wont go looking for chests anymore since if they do find them, they're on the 'list' I left the the numbers for admins to decide, the system should ideally tell how long a period the player has found x number of chests. So I guess auto ban would be too complicated, but say if some random person where to be checked, eg markphillip, and he had found 10 chests in the last 3 games, he's obviously using xray. If someone is helpoped for xray, the admin chould check this stat. My point endless is that if they realise that this is something strange going on, they wont xray my chests in fear of being banned :3. Also no stuff is required to be in the chests. Endless I have never in my entire time of playing anni come across someone who's accidentally stumbled across chest after they took the random decision to dig 5 blocks down. Plus I did say to keep the chests a decent distance away from the base.
