when i try and connect to the server it tells me to type in the chat my password and confirmed password ans i dont really understand what to do

You need to type /register (password) (confirm password)
for example: '/register Imanub23 Imanub23'

And also, every time after this, you'll login by typing /login (Password)
Example: /login Imanub23
