I'm here to discuss the stats system of anni at the present, its flaws, and a new leaderboard system that will reflect the skill of each individual player much more accurately. This is going to get lengthy, so clear out if you have a short attention span. ♦ | ♦ - CURRENTLY - -- As of right now, the anni leaderboard system is based off of total wins. Wins, as in winning each round with your team. Whoever wins the most is at the top. Let me explain why this system is flawed. Annihilation is a TEAM game. Whenever a team is the last one standing, everyone on the team receives experience and a win, a point counting to their spot on the leaderboards. Each point counts, and whoever has the most wins have the #1 spot on the leaderboard. In other words, INDIVIDUALS are being rewarded for a TEAM effort. It's a system that needs to be fixed or adjusted. On the stats page, "All stats" basically means "Wins". The problem with this is, this doesn't reflect true anni skill. This isn't based on how good you are at the game. It's based on how good your team is. You might argue that the other stat leaderboards, such as top in Kills or Nexus Damage are fair indicators of true skill. The problem with this is, none of them actually do. Using this example for example purposes and example purposes only, the player that holds the #1 spot for kills could have an equal, or larger death count. Therefore, this is based on activity and not PvP skill, or anni skill in general. Now, you might argue that KDR is a perfect representation of skill, because it takes death into account. No. And let me tell you why. For example purposes and example purposes only again, a player could have scored around thirty kills and have died only once. These stats are very low compared to what we have right now. And let's say he never logs on ever again. This gives him an insane KDR of 30, a feature many new players with a clean slate can abuse. And it's going to stay at the top spot, because the best, most active players will remain at the bottom, because being more active means accumulating more deaths. Furthermore, if someone has scored, let's say, forty kills and has never died. This player will have a sad KDR of zero and forever remain the very last, despite theoretically having a very good KDR. The scoring system I love the most is the ELO system, used by PotPvP, which determines real skill and knowledge of what you're doing. This system is used globally, in competitive gameplay ranging from chess to Counterstrike: Global Offensive. Developed by Arpad Elo, it's reknowned worldwide for being accurate and fantastic in general. My new proposal is based off of this, but instead of pretending to know how the elo system works, I'm creating my own. ♦ | ♦ - NEW PROPOSAL - -- First off, let's start off with the definition of a skilled anni player. Someone skilled in anni must be skilled in both destroying the nexus and PvP, so both stats need to be taken into account. Creating this equation took a while of thought, so take it into consideration, please. Each new player will start off with 1000 ranking. I'm going to try to make this as easy to understand as possible (it's pretty simple, really). I've just combined all of the stats into one big ranking, making sure that not one has more priority than the other. Defined Terms: K = Total Kills D = Total Deaths R = Kill-Death Ratio (KDR) N = Nexus Damage S = Final Score -- S = 1000 + {[(K - D) + (100R)] + N ÷ 3} (Rounded to the nearest whole integer, assuming player has died once or more times) -- Note: Each new player starts with a flat 1000 ranking. Let's put this to the test. My good friend @Chisagu is your everyday regular anni player. She's got average to good skill at the game. With this equation, let's see her final ranking. Stats on 2/23/2016 S = 1000 + {[(K - D) + (100R)] + N ÷ 3} S = 1000 + {[(1027 - 955) + (100 x 1.08)] + 314 ÷ 3} S = 1284.66667 S = 1285 Final Ranking: 1285 Now, let's try the same thing on a player who's typically known as a pro, @Gamer Matrix . With this equation, let's see his final ranking. Stats on 2/23/2016 S = {[(K - D) + (100R)] + N ÷ 3} S = {[(2043 - 764) + (100 x 2.67)] + 530 ÷ 3} S = 1722.66667 S = 1723 Final Ranking: 1723 ♦ | ♦ - CONCLUSION - -- No hard feelings, @Chisagu ! Agree , i should be in the top of anni leaderboard but @Chisagu is cuz she has more wins , totaly not fair i am better at kills , deaths , kdr , and nexus dmg but she is still on top of board , NOT FAIR
Its good, but I dont really care about kdr, it's not true skills because when my team is getting farmed ill always go down and try to succbus spec the farmer, so I get more 50 death, but I helped my team tho.. But the suggestion is really good! By the way the loosing catagory is bugged, it doesnt add 1 lose when u do lose
I like the ideas, but as @PizaCraft1 said, kdr isn't very important on this game mode because it can go up and down, depending if you are farming people, or you are getting farmed.
This is actually really good, I mean, your suggestion will make players going for kills or nexus damages more, they won't camp in their base and do nothing but defending their nexus. I like your proposal very much. Also, how you use the elo system from PotionPvP is just clever, +1
You're completely missing the entire point of the post. Don't reply if you're not giving real feedback KDR does matter, it's the only stat that compares kills to deaths. It's not the category that matters the most, though and none of them are. That's why they're represented equally in the equation. Thanks for the feedback tho
I don't bother reading that whole thing.... But still +1 since everyone says the ideas are good. And as @PizaCraft1 mentioned, the KDR doesn't really matter since whenever I see this full dia guy, I want the armor so badly but get killed in the meantime.
Annihilation is all about TEAMWORK... so if you are playing SOLO like earning kills or deaths won't help to increase your rank position, just go to kitpvp... For example, in DOUBLE PLAYER BADMINTON, if you get more hits on the shuttlecock than your PARTNER, it doesn't mean that you are the best. Maybe he is just planning or using TEAMWORK to win, just like what Chisagu did. He/She ? concentrated on winning the game and using teamwork than killing players...

I totally agree with this idea. And I hope Guildcraft will restore the previous stats, since I played anni for 1 year, 4 months already, and my stats dropped back to ZERO when anni-beta was launched (I made so many farms before........stats: 0 Kills....)
