Well , for the past couple of days , i've been hearing rumors about a reset in semivanilla . One of which is on march , and one of them is on February 26. That's when 1.9 is released soon after. Is this just a lie ? Or Is it the truth ?

umm I do not think the server will upgrade so fast IF it wants to. Spigot need to catch up, plugin developers need to catch up, guildcraft developers need to catch up and so much more.

fyi, a past few months ago, in the old forum, axed declared that gc will make a 1.9 test server when it is out

 

Semi needs a reset IMO, most players are already rich and the amount of players that play at Semi is decreasing. I do think a reset should be made but well, this is just one opinion from a player

 

Semi-Vanilla will reset and be updated to 1.9. However there is no date set yet because we have to wait for the release of hosting software which allows us to host a 1.9 server. I do not expect to be able to reset in February. It will most likely be early/ mid March.

and its finally confirmed, lets just hope 1.9 is all its cracked up to be and the 1.8 plugins that use sound are upgraded to the new api changes quick.

would suck to loose globalchestshop just cuz it makes noises when you click on items.

 

Well, this is very exciting news!!! I got that 1.9 hype, along with many other players!!!
And really, to those of you who say that 1.9 ruins PvP, semi-vanilla isn't meant for PvP

It is a shame though, I'm going to loose some of my pride & joy (AKA My pixel art and my amazing redstone, along with the roller coaster that I just finished improving, and not to mention the staff village... and my spawn plot that I bought for 250$, which was a huge steal!!! Also, I'm gonna loose my original house that I built when I first joined Guildcraft, that I just finished restoring to it's former glory (I left it unclaimed for 3 months, and it was looted. Surprisingly, the secret room was left intact, along with the small amount of ores I left there))

But, we will be gaining so much more!!!! A new graphics engine, along with a better end, and better AI for flying mobs (blazes & ghasts & such). Also, we will be getting an offhand, and a shield slot!!! But the biggest thing I can think of are wings!!! They will have so much opportunity, and I will be creating a new theme park to honor the old one. Who know's, maybe @NeonNature can help me with it?? Wings Race Track + Roller Coaster + Trampoline + Wings Obstacle Course?

One thing that I have trouble for-seeing is the anti fly hack plugin... will wings still work with the plugin? I know that slime block trampolines don't work right now due to the anti fly hack plugin....

 

actualy there are already some severs that are for Snapshots :3

 

Will the upgrade to 1.9 only applicable on semi- vanilla or other servers too, like factions and prison? @aXed

Yea um i dont think cracked minecraft (mineshafter for example) are 1.9 ready...

 

Damn, I am hyped for 1.9 & a reset .
Lets see how pvp turns out in 1.9 semi.

 

Well most .x version upgrades break just about everything as far as mods and plugins go, so I imagine there will be a significant period of tweaking things. My biggest problem will be that most of my mods (and especially liteloader) only work for 1.8, and I intend to keep playing the 1.8 GC servers, so I might not be able to play semi at all for a while.
