    No, you need to trust yourself , In any Type of jobs which you will join in the real life, you will find some people who are trying to make you weak, Don't underestimate yourself, You shouldn't take with their advice to quit , You should try to make yourself better, and prove to those people that you are better. Being new to a minecraft server isn't a bad thing ,
    Maybe you are better than " old " player who is calling you " randy " or maybe you are worse than him/her, It all depends on your effort to make yourself better .
