This article aims to teach people how to play annihilation.

    1. getting into the game
After you log in, type /server anni. Then, choose a server that has about 20 people in it and/or in phases 1 or 2.

    2. Picking a kit
If you are new, you will only have the civilian kit. Choices... But once you get a certain amount of anni xp(you may check by typing /myxp), you can buy kits. To get the xp, you only need to kill and wait for your team to destroy others' nexus.

    3. How to play
Now, you should be in a team, sitting in the base, with a sinking feeling in your heart. You should see some melons in a pile somewhere in your base. Mine them with your axe. Then, with a team, charge outwards. Use your pickaxe to break others' nexus, which is a block of end stone somewhere in their base. You may find it in your base. All bases are identical.

3a. How to play as offender
So. As the game progresses over the first 10 minutes(Phase 1, invinceible nexus), and enters Phase 2, you may start to break others' nexuses. Similarly your nexus is at risk too, but it is not your role to worry about it. Now, grab yourself a stone sword and pickaxe, get yourself a team, then charge at any nexus to your hearts' consent. In the enemy base, have someone defending you, then mine at the end stone block.

3b. How to play as defender(not the kit)
You would want to start building defences right away. Start by gathering a lot of wooden planks. Then find the all openings and block them with the smallest width you can find in the opening. Build them at least 3 or 4 blocks tall. Meanwhile dig tunnels below the wall and hide the outside entrance, and build a dirt arrow pointing in its entrance as players annoyingly cannot see the entrance unless it is blindingly obvious. Then build another wall as close as you could with the nexus with wood. make some doorways on this wall. For this role you want to use archer, warrior or defender(the kit) if you don't want to be annihilated(pun intended) like a civilian.

    4. Early gameplay
So. In the early stages of the game(phase 1 and 2), you want to gather better gear and build some defences. It is also advised to take the center of the map(The "mid" as we call it") as it is the fastest route around the map in most cases and having this spot can prove useful. It is easy to take the mid. Gather some food, seeds, a hoe and a lot of wood, then head out to the mid in a group ASAP. This will break off into section 4a. Alternatively, you can stay and farm.
Advised attack time: when noone is looking
Advised attack group size: 5 to 6 people, with both bows and swords

    4a. Mid taker
So. Now you are in a group, burning your melons(and calories) running to the mid. Hopefully, you are the first ones who got here(see 4ai). But if you're not, good luck.(see 4aii)

    4ai First at mid
You want to block off any entrances, then create a pocket around your entrance. Stuff it with chests, crafting tables and furnaces. Then grab some water and farm there. The harvest should be shared among your teammates. Build a second floor for the snipers. Then reinforce your wall with cobblestone and make an exit. Now you can sit back and farm.

    4aii Not first at mid
Kill off the enemies, then quickly do 4ai.

    5. Mid-game
The Mid-game period(Phase 3 to early phase 4) is the most exciting of all the periods. Now, it should be total mayhem in the battlefield. If your team is not attacked, it is either that you are saved for last, or they are held at the mid. You should have now gotten yourself a set of better gear and have a wall fully built. Be careful when you leave a walled area. Stay fully alert all the time and try to avoid the mid, unless it is totally calm and your team has taken it. When working on the walls, be quick as enemy snipers may be around. When you see one, move erratically to make it impossible to be hit. Also, stay in the base if you are not attacking and help on the walls.
Advised attack time: When target is attacking other teams
    Advised attack group size: Swarm

    6. Late game
The late game(Late phase 4 to phase 5) is characterized by a boring gameplay. Many might have left after more than 40 minutes of endless war, and every hit on nexus counts as 2 hits. Now, the ones that remained may already have god gear, such as enchanted diamond armor and sharpness 4 sword. You definately do not want to be rocking a wooden sword and leather armor as someone with an enchanted diamond sword can easily kill you in one or two hits. You may have noticed that the attacks are much less common than in the mid-game period. Utilize the time between the attacks to reinforce your walls.
    Advised attack time: When ready
Advised attack group size: As small and agile as you can. Except lone-wolves.

    7. Post-destruction
If unfortunately your team is defeated, you are best off to run. Hide somewhere safe like your mid-base, or a mine. Try to sneak all the time and stay in the cave or the safe place as long as you can. Most likely your base will be safe after a few minutes. Return to your base after the few minutes.

-In building walls, when you think it is safe enough, it isn't.

I am 3_141592653589, but I prefer being called pi ingame and you can also call me Matt. Don't like others calling me the numbers because it is clunky
