Before I begin this has nothing to do with gc Ok.. Where to start really, this is me expressing how pissed off I am at the lot we sadly have to call our 'Government'. Recently our terrible prime mister (turdball) decided to take in 12,000 refugees from Syria and Iraq, now our government is offering 900 MILLION to settle the 12,000 refugees, they will get government housing $10,000 furniture packages and all that shit. Also to mention 80% of Queensland is in a severe 3 year drought and no hope on the horizon. The Farmers that help put food on our tables are killing themselves, these farmers have to kill they're own livestock just to take them out of there misery of starving to death, which is a hard thing to do for anyone. These farmers are struggling to support themselves and family as there has been very little rain in the past 3 years, crops fail to grow and no grass/hay for livestock to eat. Farmers are then forced to sell their land for the very little amount of money it now costs. These farmers have received ZERO support for the government, but support a bunch of refugees that weren't born here and will possibly sit on government welfare for their whole life. Like every country, we have homeless people, these homeless people receive little support from the government there are even homeless war veterans here, that's pathetic. People that have served for our country and have gone through at they have gone through should NEVER be treated like they are, they are the ones they deserve a home, not these refugees. Our government should really fix the issues in our own country before taking in 12,000 refugees. I could go on forever but I'm really not goin to type a 100000 word essay.
The only reason governments support foreign refugees, is to gain a bit of emotional and financial support from the UN and World bank. All countries do this, not pointing fingers but England and many other European countries have done so.
Don't get me started with these bunch of turds. Governments need to make a stand and tell them "NO! We got our own issues to resolve. Instead of being a bunch of softcocks saying yes or sure to most if not everything that's being requested by the un
No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no 'There will be no carbon tax under the government I lead' Puts a carbon tax anyway, a tax on something that's a load of crap.
Politics shit and that , at least your not in a country where stupid prime ministers gives his retard wife 2.6 billion and uses us as ATM . Srsly now our god damn currency is going down to almost the value of indonesia's money . I wish i was never born in So call malaysia truly asia =.= . They also offer donations , but the cash they are using to donate is our god damn money
Did a little reading up and information-sourcing after chancing on your post. I'm not in a position to make a stand, but I'll be as objective as I can in giving my thoughts from whatever information I have gathered, as well as from a third person's perspective. Well to begin with, I guess every country has its fair share of problems. Your government has made the move to take in 12000 refugees - people fleeing from their war-torn country. They have decided to spend about $900 million over a period of 4 years ($909 million to be more exact) to provide whatever support they can to these refugees. However, on the other hand, their own people (particularly the farmers) are also struggling to deal with the drought impacts. I'm assuming you're upset by the fact that the government has decided to pump in so much more resources into helping the foreign refugees than its own people. I can understand that. In the globalized world today, pulling ties and keeping good relations has become an essential tool for countries to survive. Sometimes, the government may make decisions that only see benefits on a global scale, albeit at the expense of its own people. It's no surprise that people get mad at their government. Who would be happy with a government that puts others before their own people? Still, I have to point out a fact that the farmers in your country are not receiving zero support. A little bit of searching turned up something termed as the "Drought Relief Assistance Scheme" (DRAS). The scheme has been put in place to help those that have been affected by the drought. It will last at least until 2018 and the total funds channeled into this is approximately $52.1 million. I think what's most eye-catching here is the fact that almost 18 times more money was spent into helping the refugees as compared to the amount spent on helping its own people. I'm not aware of how the economy over your side is like so I'll leave those who're clearer about this to make the comparison. A personal point from me: Both the farmers and refugees require help. The drought has caused farmers to lose their jobs, their land, their home and the consequences will be extremely dire if the El Niño continues to intensify. War has caused these refugees the life of their loved ones, their home too and certainly has traumatized them. Your government has the graciousness to open up and accept these refugees. These people have received help from YOUR government. It's thanks to your government that they are able to escape from the hell-hole they are in, that they are able to find peace again in their life, that they are able to find a safe heaven to start their life afresh. I know this came at the expense of the welfare of your people, and I don't completely agree with how the government has allocated the funds (18 times is like ._.). Still, be proud of the fact that your government has the heart to help these refugees. The sufferings from war are really one of the worst to experience. Nevertheless, never lose faith. Here's a quote I find pretty nice: The world is a drought when out of love. Wait for it to be over, and perhaps you will see the rainbow that comes after the little rain. All the best
im sorry but after reading long heated post after long heated post im starting to realize that we're discussing politics on a in the same place where these threads exist
Well we don't accept refugees in our country(Romania),and we have a really good anti-terrorist system,so we are ISIS free. Also,do you live in Australia Marine?Well,if you do,RIP that is the death country. Here are some reasons: -ALWAYS hot(have been in Australia for a month this summer) -Snakes,black widows, scorpios -Tsunamis -Refugees -What next,ISIS? Yeah,do not want to live in that country whatsoever.
Your an absolute idiot if you think it's like that. Yes, it gets hot, some places are cooler than others 20-30c and other are brutal hot 40-50c but you get use to it. I have seen my fair share of snakes and spiders, snakes don't attck people just because they see someone, they attack humans because some idiots throw sticks, hose them, try set them on fire. Same with spiders. We haven't had any major tusumai since European colonisation, only smaller ones that dose minor damage to boats and possibly a home or too. Tony abbot introduced a policy to stop any refugee coming by boat illegally and to send those who do come by boat back. Although we are taking in 12,000 of them in... Highly doubt that. We have a pretty good anti terror and police force that dealt with the 2 terrorost attacks we have had in the last few years
I've got family in Syria. Very funny post though, killing millions of innocents simply because your vacuous perception about the actual situation is quite funny. I'll not be going into this, I don't feel it is the right place to talk about global affairs and politics which may offend someone in a Off-Topic section of a minecraft server forum where the general average demographic consists of 10-15 year olds.
