Basic Information Spoiler The Transporter kit comes with a Stone Sword instead of a Wooden Sword, and a Portal Maker (Nether Quartz). Right click a block that doesn't have water or any kind of block above it with the Portal Maker, and you'll set the "A" position of your TP (Turns into a Quartz Ore). Right click another block and you'll set the "B" position of your TP (Turns into a Quartz Ore as well). The TP is two-way, so there's no definite entrance or exit. If you left click or right click any part of the TP chain, the whole chain breaks. If you try to set another position of your TP when both A and B positions are present, the original chain breaks and the A position moves to the block you just clicked. If you die, the chain breaks. If an enemy left clicks or right clicks any part of the TP chain, the whole chain breaks. If you log off, your TP chain breaks, so if you're going to leave for a meal or whatnot, don't disconnect, just AFK (Although you'll still disconnect soon). 2. General Strategy Spoiler The goal of the Transporter is to successfully place your TP in the mid or somewhere close to the enemy team's Nexus. Always remember to place one side of the TP near your team's Spawn, so they can easily notice it. Be sure to place a slab on it and make a large structure around it, so it doesn't get destroyed by rushers but still very notable to your teammates. Now, ask your teammates where they want the TP to go to, so you can guarantee at least one person puts your TP to use. After that, grab several slabs with you and run to the spot where you want to place your Teleporter. On your way there, you may encounter scouts, acrobats and jumpers. There's no way you can escape them on foot, so you must escape using your Teleporter. Place the other side of your TP 3 blocks ahead of you and use it to return to the base, then, disconnect your TP immediately by punching it. Now, replace the TP and run to the spot again. Once you've arrived at your destination, place down your TP and cover it with slabs. Be sure to cover as much ground around it with slabs so it isn't immediately notable by attackers. Optionally, you can place your TP in somewhere with a lot of slabs already like the broken bridge on the cliffs in Essix Dam. Camouflaging your TP is very important! Now, return to your base and tell your teammates that your TP is up by saying something like "TP to (Somewhere) is up!". Then, you should go defend the nexus, so enemies will be less likely to kill you and by extension, breaking your TP. You'll become even more powerful if you have a supporting teammate that you can communicate with, whether he/she's your friend, your relative, or even staffs. Get a teammate with the Transporter kit and have him backup your TP by connecting his TP to somewhere close to your TP, but not too close. By doing so, you can strengthen your TP's stability, provided the attackers aren't fast enough to break two TPs before one gets back up again. Supporting teammates will become even more useful in the later sections. 3. Sewer Raid You'll need: 1 Bow (Preferably with a Power enchant) As many arrow as possible 1 Iron set/Diamond set (Optional, but very useful) Spoiler A Sewer Raid is similar to rushers that sneak into the nexus room using the sewer that connects to it, but it's way fiercer. For more information on how to get to the sewers, refer to the rushing guides others have made. Sneak into the map's sewer as usual, but place your TP close to the exit to the nexus room and hide it under slabs. Watch as your team floods the nexus room and deal heavy damage to the nexus, but soon after, reinforcements will arrive and push them out, and nearing the sewer. Shoot them with your bow, this is will net you quite some XP. But watch out, they're most likely going to dig down into your TP from above and break it. If you have a supporting teammate, have him/her set up another tp hidden in the sewer. Providing a back up. 4. Above-Ground War You'll need: A stack of building blocks Spoiler An Above-Ground War is an all-out battle between two teams that happens on the surface. Blood (XP) will spill and the two teams involved will mostly likely hold grudges against each other for the rest of the game. Find an advantageous position near the enemy Spawn, like a hill, a mountain, or a tower. Place your TP there, and watch as your teammates throw themselves into war against your enemies. Be sure to fortify the TP. This war will benefit you the least but benefit your teammates the most, as they're most likely going to be busy fighting the enemy team and not trying to get to the nexus room. This may not seem beneficial at first glance, but you can actually use this to tug down an overpowered team, loosening their grip on the mid, or even the entire game. 5. Sky Assault You'll need: 4 stacks of planks (1 stack of logs) 1 Bow (Preferably with a Power enchant) As many arrow as possible Spoiler A Sky Assault involves your team raining down from the sky and landing in the enemy base, slaughtering innocents and destroying the nexus. To do a Sky Assault, you can either build a skybridge or a skybase. You shouldn't use Sky Assault on mid. Skybridge: Build a staircase up to the sky, but don't build up too high or you won't be able to see the surface clearly and shoot accurately. Then, start stretching a bridge to the enemy base. Keep stretching until you find an area with water close enough to the enemy base. Then, encircle the area of water over the skies with your bridge. Now, make a small platform connected to it (3x3 to 5x5). Place your TP on it and tell your teammates to jump into the water. Start fortifying the encircled area, making it safer to snipe the enemies on the surface. Shoot down enemies trying to get to your skybridge with their pillars. Soon after, your enemies will start to notice what you're doing and begin to patch up the water. If you have a supporting teammate, tell him to jump down and stop them from patching the water up. If the enemy succeeds in patching the water, simply extend your bridge to another area of water and encircle it again. But no matter what, do NOT place water. It will make everyone lag like crazy and it will be tedious to stop the enemies from climbing up the water. If your TP breaks, just rush back to the end of the skybridge and reconnect your TP. Skybase: Find an area of water near the enemy spawn, but not too close. Build a pillar up to the sky. Don't make it to high or it will be too hard to shoot enemies on the surface, but don't make it too close to another high ground or scouts/acrobats/assassins/jumpers might be able to catch you. Once you've attained height, either encircle the area of water you just built up from or extend a bridge to a closer area of water and then encircle it. Fortify the circle and make it safe for archers. Make a small platform connected to it and place your TP there, then tell your teammates to jump into the water. Different from the Skybridge method, you have to stay on the skybase at all times. If by wild chance someone broke your TP from the Spawn side, replace your TP on the small platform again and dive down into the area of water. Rush back to the base to reconnect the TP. If you somehow died, you will have to pillar back up to your skybase again. The rest is identical to the skybridge method. Sky Assault achieves the same results as an Above-Ground War, except now assassins and acrobats on your team can rush the enemy nexus more easily (If you're not playing on Coastal). 6. Useful Areas of Water Spoiler Here's a list of areas of water that are useful if you're using Sky Assault. -Coastal- The big pond near the base -Canyon- NONE -Sarum- The moat around the base The small pond in about the center between two neighboring teams -Andorra- The moat around the base -Essix Dam- The small reservoir right next to the base -Eyron Plains- The two ponds on the gravel path diagonally to the mid -Outback- The nearly dried river around the midway point between two neighboring teams The water tank on the corner of the base (Needs an acrobat/assassin to crack it open) -TheOakV2- The pond with a bridge over it near the base 7. Capturing Mid You'll need: At least 2 stacks of planks (32 logs) 1 Iron set/Diamond set (Optional, but very useful) Spoiler The simplest, yet, the hardest. There's no definite way to get a tight grip of mid unless your team is very cooperative (and has good items). Generally you want to make your TP in the corner of the mid, closer to your team. And then, you must shape it into a fortress that will stall the attackers from getting to the TP. If your teammates keep swarming the mid, the occupying force might just start to crumble away. That's all you need to know about the Transporter and the strategy accompanying the kit. I hope the fellow Transporters will gain more knowledge from this guide and use the kit to its full potential.
This is a nice beginner guide, but you have to remember that being a powerful transporter comes with experience. Using your tp to escape a quicker kit (scout ect.) is something I personally never do - half your job is being quick, the other being smart. Defending the nexus is also a bit... controversial. Phase 2 rush tp? I usually do. Phase 2 mid tp? Probably not... Phase 4 rush tp? Your job is to defend that tp. Transporter is one of the most intensive pvping kits, and it has no additional pvp abilities. It is also an incredibly intensive maneuverability kit (ie. has to move around and get to difficult spots a lot), and has no ability to help it in that regard. Tp is a civilian on steroids and isnt for the faint hearted.
