»Monthly Event Suggestion

As the title says , I am suggesting a ' Monthly Event '

So what's that ?

It is a monthly event as said . I'd suggest to do like a certain challenge , question ( the first to answer in X secs gets an OP prize ; maybe a coupon ? ) a quest , ex : The first to deliver (whatever) blocks gets an OP prize .
- If you have nice ideas for the challenge , question etc for the event you can tell in the comments.

So is there a timing or a certain date for every server ?

I'd suggest that for every server there is a certain date for it , ex : Survival is the 5th of each month at ex : 15 GMT ; prison is the 6th of each month at ex 17 GMT . And the same goes for every other server.
- I'd like the date to stay the same each month but the timing changes every month so that everyone can be able to participate . ( So it could be a fair event )
-Every month, the dates and timings for each month and each server can be announced here on the forums on the 1st day of the month for the people to know

So what would be the prize ?

I'd suggest if the challenge, question , whatever is that hard it would be a coupon ; however , if not possible , it can be igm , kits , titan picks ( for prison ) , spawn plots , etc..
- I suggest that it could be like 2-3 prizes and either the winner chooses 1 of them or there would be 3 winners ( 1st , 2nd and 3rd ) so the 1st chooses the first prize ; the 2nd chooses one of the left ones and the 3rd takes the left one.
-It can be a temporary thing for instance : a certain kit for 2 weeks , /fly for a week , etc




So what do you guys think?

So as donalddoyson said, it wasn't that clear; so I'd like to add something he suggested .
So his suggestion was pretty good ; so it would be 12 challenges ( tournaments) a year ; each month it would be a different challenge ; example : pvp tournament ; building ; redstone building ; maybe mining ; fishing ( first to get X fish wins ) ;raiding ; first to (whatever ) etc.. If you guys have suggestions for certain challenges , questions or whatever , it would be cool if you wrote it in the comments

-I'd suggest that for every server there is a certain challenge each month; so for each server there is 12 challenges a year with 36 winners (1st , 2nd & 3rd) and the heads and names of the winners are put in a certain warp (probably /spawn for most of the servers or for skywars , sg etc games , it would be in the lobby ; in addition to giving them rewards ofc)

I thought about something ; I don't know if it can be done or not tho . So I thought that the prize would be maybe an upgrade to the next rank ( new one ) ex: Player X is overlord , so he won the tournament ; he gets an upgrade to Hydra / gets master on another server / gets a title etc ? So it would an insanely hard challenge / a huge pvp tournament / etc.. ( Something really hard )

I think your idea is not very clear, next time you suggest something make it a bit clearer because personally I did not understand what you meant to do. Just a suggestion, a monthly event should change. There should be 12 challenges in a year. ( pvp, build, etc)that way people don't learn the easy ways out or get tired of it. For example one month it could be pvp tournament, the other a raiding tournament ( first to raid ) or best redstone idea. A bit of everything. otherwise yes this is a good post and thanks for the idea!

I know it wasn't 'that' clear but if I wanted it to be clear, I'd have to know a lot of things about every server ; I don't play all the servers , so I just stated my idea , you know .

Yes i know what u mean and it would be an interesting addition to the server.
But if its an coupon i would make it only once and on a specific server just for that event.
For example one month can be an PvP event, one can be an Boss event etc etc...
Overall its an nice suggestion but for sure needs some work on it.

Yeah it does need work and thanks for ur suggestion ; however , if not possible with a coupon it could just be an OP prize or atleast a pretty good one.

I know I replied a little bit late ; anyways , I tried to change the responses for the poll , but I didn't find an option to do so ; idk if I am able to change it once I did the poll .

 

Your ideas are very good and thank you for implementing my idea, but, there are several factors why they cannot add prizes that are in real life money.
1. Hackers can win the tournaments and win ezpz prizes.
2. It would make the server poorer and the server is trying to earn money.

Well , about the hackers part , I guess that there should be staff watching it ; in addition , many people have bandicam or similar stuff and can record and report.

However, yes , it can be argued that hackers might win it either the prize is a coupon or not.

On the other hand , I disagree about the fact that they'll get poorer. A coupon can only be used in the store ; they won't have X euros in their hand.
So literally , they'll just give them something in the store for free ; they won't give them money to do stuff outside of guildcraft ; they won't 'lose ' money or ' get poorer' ; you get what I mean?

I do understand your side but, admins are not always available especially nowadays, admins are on once a week and it will be hard for them to be on for a long time. You get me? And also, the server will get poorer because they are giving away money to spend for the server, and they are not earning it.

 

First of all , there are active admins ; not all ones are that inactive.
Secondly , that would be a monthly event , so of course there should be admins watching ; it is 1 day for each server per month , so the admins should know that at Day X they should be active ; the event cannot be held without admins watching.

About the coupon , if it is not possible , it isn't a big deal ; it could just be an OP prize I said as a kit , igm etc.
