So yeah guys I've just thought of something that could potentially be cool and be a great addition to GC. This suggestion of mine is essentially adding a new server (like survival/fac/prison) that kind of stuff, and imma be explaining my idea for this new server. Firstly, we need a name for it right? So why not imma call it "SurvivalRPG" or "RPGSurvival"? And more details about the name should float accross your mind when u read on. Ok, so what are the features of this new server? Why would people play it? Here's a summary of what the server will be about. Players can start off with basic chain or iron armor and some tools, and they can do a command like /town create , where they will be tp-ed to a random spot in the world to create their 'town'. Note that this town of theirs is only limited to a specific size, for example 30x30 blocks. The creation of a town auto generates a townhall, which is their town's heart. If this townhall is destroyed by mobs from "raids" (more info in a sec), their whole town is destroyed and left barren. But otherwise, players have to make use of this space to build stuff to earn money, which allows them to buy upgrades for their town, such as a town stat buff, or a bigger landspace, more upgrades can definitely be added. That is basically it for the main ongoings in this server, but of course there's more to it. Following that basic survival and upgrading of the town that a player owns, one of the upgrades can also allow the player to add other players to their town (kinda like in skyblock). With at least 3 people in a town, the rpg element comes into play. (Which explains the name) The rpg elements: So it would be quite boring to just live in a town with your friends right? Its literally the same as the existing survival server. But here's the twist: In order to unlock materials such as diamond, emeralds and other nether stuff, players in a town have to work together to defend against a "raid". These raids can be initiated by the leader of the town or the staff members of the town, and essentially this "raid" sends waves of hostile mobs at their town, and by killing them, they get rewards such as diamond or even a town upgrade token or something along those lines. Rare rewards can also be given when players defeat tough bosses, such as a skill point card (like increased attack level, i'll get into this soon). But of course, if the town fails to defeat the "raid", and the mobs destroy their town's townhall, their town is permenantly destroyed and will be left barren to allow space for the creation of a new town possibly by other players. Towns are fully protected from griefing by other players, and only people in the town can access chests and all that crap u know what im talking about. Also, there would also be an option to buy defenses for your town, such as a minion spawner and guard houses to defend your town when a raid commences. So getting to the individual stats of a player, you know how in most rpg games theres like "attack lvl 1 , defense lvl 1, speed lvl 1" that kind of thing? Its kinda like McMMO except it's a different style. Basically players can buy or get a skill point card which allows them to upgrade a skill of their choice. Some of the skills and their uses are as follows: Attack Strength - Increases the amount of damage you do to an enemy (+0.5% per level, max level 200) Defense - Decreases the amount of damage you take (-0.5% damage taken per level, Max level 100) Speed - Increases your walking and swinging speed (+0.5% per level, max level 100) Minion strength - Increases the overall strength of your town minions in raids (+1% per level, max level 50) Theres more but i cant think of any more at the moment, maybe you guys can contribute to the suggestion too So yeah, thats mostly it for this new server, but of course the standard economy and spawners stuff still apply to the server, just that it is very restricted and hard to play on. More updates to the maximum skill levels and the difficulty of the raids can also be customised, to ensure continuous gameplay for players. Hopefully this can be added! I do think that some new plugins would have to be created by the devs, but overall i think if this can be pulled off i think its a much better server than the existing faction dimensions. And also in this same thread i'd also like to ask that the devs please don't only focus on factions. Theres some people who want to play peacefully like survival and dont like factions. And i know most devs only care about the faction server, so yeah. Hopefully this idea changes something. Do give a rating on this if you think this idea is cool! It is much appreciated. Quite honestly one of your ideas is similar to a server that "Ssundee" is recording a series on atm. ^ One of the series is an rpg faction. Your idea however is different since it also involves an aspect of multiple servers together. I like it. The only problem is coming up with unique features that will make this server stand out and won't die out as quickly ^-^"
