»[Suggestion] /Ask Command

Hello,

I was thinking about to make a thread about this for 3 days allready. So for start, It's a command for people in the servers to type in chat ''/Ask whatever he asks''. And when they do it, admins get a notification in chat to respond to the player. For an Example:
A guy types in chat /Ask How can i get money? And admin would get a notification in chat respond to him and he needs to type in this: /Respond [Player ID] By mining and selling it. It would look like that. Yesterday the chat on prison was full of new people asking for help and they were spamming, so it will change it a lot with /Ask command. I think it will be very helpful. There will be less spamming in chat about it, and it would be more clear then, and people would get respond for help faster. And if there's no admins when they type in /Ask ''bla bla bla'', they would get a notification in chat ''There are currently no admins Online, or on duty. This is pretty good, I think if someone does /ask how do I pick my nose or something troll or something like a joke, they should get a warning and then a ban from the command for 1 day or something. Also the jobs of mods and helpers is to help people but this could be useful if no staff are online.

[EDIT: After the 1 day ban from the command, they get 1 day ban from server for "/ask abuse" like the old 2 day ban for "/helpop abuse" if they continue to abuse.]

/ask there is a hacker
/ask just ban him
/ask ffs noob admin

I think /info or /faq are better :3

 

If do they ask something that's not a legit question they get a warning, and then 1 day ban from command. And then 1 day ban for /ask abuse like there used to be /helpop abuse.

Like the old helpop.... Which was probably removed because people were abusing it, so I don't see this getting added

 

Helpop is for hacker reports....

/ask Stop post farming nub

 

For non hacker reports just type in public chat...

I find the idea to be good, but the way to use it is bad.

I'll give you a few reasons why.

1) Giving Admins another task to do which can be time consuming. Due to the fact that admins specifically deal with moderation of player spectating and report of some sort.

Yes admins can help out with the command but they shouldn't do it by themselves.

2) Can be abused easily.

As mentioned before it's similar to having a /helpop where players are abusing it with random words and off topic questions.

Yeah I'm aware that he /helpop now is for reporting players , not questions.

3) Similar to the first reasons admins deal with a lot of Pms so having a /ask command is just as similar to private messaging.

Which can be filled with spam.

Now there could be better ways to reduce questions in the chat.

Such as telling these newcomers to go to /warp info if this includes about the prison rules , cells , plots , gangs , making a shop (shop making needs to be updated..) , etc.

Also as @Soga mentioned we can have a /faq which takes us to a link on the forums that would help with general questions.

I could make one soon to help out with some confusion.

TL;dr I'm going to say no support for the suggestion.

 

This wouldn't be wise. The admins already have enough spam going on with other plugins, this would only create more. Why? They're already mentioned above^

Counter-suggestion: Most of the players are new, so they probably don't about the website where literally everything is mentioned in detailed. There are various tutorials and dedicated forums which answer their questions. Therefore, maybe add the /ask command, but this would not notify admins, instead it would give them a link to the website.

Particular keywords can be associated with different links. For example, /ask survival, would give a link to a new survival player to multiple guides on surviving.

However if he has a problem with a particular task, for example claiming. /ask claiming, would give him just one link to a claiming tutorial.

Just an idea tho
