deep web is full of scammers, and the anonymity makes it better for them. As for the creepy stuff, you won't find it easily, if you do, it's probably a scammer's site. That being said, its pretty useful for, say, secret agents in a foreign country, who wish to contact base without being detected.

 

The deep web is boring and consists only of web pages that are not indexed. Basically this means that they exist but they just can't be searched for using common search engines such as google for example.
The dark web however is what the little kids think is so cool... mainly because it is really cool. No it's not actually "cool". It's full of shit. The deep web and the dark web are two very different things.

Not all of the dark web is so "bad" but some of it is and whilst harder to come across, it's usually really fucked up. Amidst all the sites simply using Tor services to sell and buy illegal stuff, forums on sensitive political ideas and pages dedicated to donations for ISIS, you might come across stuff that cannot be unseen. After having discovered this stuff that cannot be unseen about two years ago it has seriously messed me up. I had nightmares about the stuff I read and saw. It became worse because I wanted more and more of it. I craved it every day and I satisfied this desire and I now wish I had never stumbled across the stuff in the first place.

tl;dr

Don't search for stupid shit on the dark web because you'll come to regret it later.
