    Dear community,

    Mojang (The creator of Minecraft) has started to enforce the EULA. Many Minecraft Servers including GuildCraft have received emails about this.

    What is the EULA?
    The EULA is a list of rules we automatically accept when starting a server. These rules state that we may not sell items or perks which improves the game-play for the buyer. You can read all about it here: https://account.mojang.com/documents/minecraft_eula

    What does this mean for GuildCraft?
    This morning I heard that we're added to a blacklist for the up-coming 1.9.3 update. The blacklist is only active on that version so do not update to 1.9.3 yet. 1.8.* and 1.9.1/2 are perfectly fine for now.

    We are currently in contact with Mojang in order to get us of that blacklist. That means we will have to change our store to comply with the EULA. We're hoping to receive a new date on which we have to comply so that we can prepare new purchase options. So yes we will comply with the EULA.

    What changes?
    We will no longer sell the current ranks and most perks in the future, there will be a new set of ranks and perks which will be EULA compliant.

    Ranks and perks purchases before this will not be removed. You will keep all current non-eula compliant perks. The old ranks will become so called "Legacy Ranks".

    There will be a 50% sale until we release the new set of ranks and perks.

    FAQ

    Will I lose anything I've bought?
    No, you will keep your rank and perks. The current ranks will simply be no longer available at the store but you will keep it if you already bought it. All the perks will also stay.

    When will the new ranks be released?
    This is currently unknown since we're in contact with Mojang in attempt to get a new date on which we have to be compliant.

    What can we expect?
    The newest ranks will have perks for chat related content, particles, hats, companions, pets and anything possible within the EULA. I do hope they will give us more breathing space since these perks are quite limited. And I'm afraid we will have to start advertising on the website and in-game. Feel free to post your ideas for ranks and perks but do read the EULA first.

      Can GuildCraft stay cracked? Because I though Cracked was also against te rules?

      Pre-EULA Hypixel donators still have the maxed out coin booster whereas new players will start with 1.0x and to achieve 5.0x coin booster it will take another year or two. So yes, legacy ranks are certainly allowed as of Hypixel has it too.

      Yes Looting_III wnd AsyFrost, its True what you said, on one condition....

      Users may keep the perks they’ve paid for on the condition that the same perks are available to other players on the server (directly or purchasable using soft currency " igm").

      Basically making it impossible to achieve it with playing like Hypixel did, I've played hypixel for like longer then 6 months still not above level 30. Consider it 'Fair' that you need around 1.5-2years to catch up with legacy ranks, Kappa.

      That was the reason why I did it today (donating).
      Actually, I wasn't sure whether I had right info about deadline or not (04.05.2016). I hadn't needed that sort of thing in so long.

      We can have NO MORE CRACKED servers.
      The EULA says ALL servers must not allow players to use cracked accounts.
      They must all be premium accounts or we will get shut down.

      Why does EULA have to do this!!!In other games that you buy you also get to buy perks
      I suggest donators get to use /where

      Please stop talking about premium and cracked because Guildcraft will always be cracked and changing it to Premium is huge risk. Right now most thing we need is Suggestions/Ideas.

      Here it is plain and simple.
      Basically, Mods are okay to distribute; hacked versions or Modded Versions of the Game client or server software are not okay to distribute.

      I did notice that, however its not in the actual ULA, its only in there added documentation describing the ULA so I dont think its binding.

      If that's the case, the distributors of the cracked launchers are to be held responsible, not the server itself, it
      doesn't mean its not allowed to be a cracked server anymore

      Kaiden ur right to some extent but think about it this way a drug cartel gets cuaght and every1 blames it on the leader they take away the leader that doesnt mean the cartel members keep making coke. similarly even if the cracked client makers are caught all the people using their client will be not allowed to use them anymore atleast thats what i think correct me if im wrong.
