Not feeling like making a super long thread, and most people won't even read it so here it is. /F Top This, quite obviously isn't my idea, I've seen it elsewhere. The concept is, like skyblock where it is like /is top you can view the top factions based on claimed value. Therefor, the items and spawners claimed within my faction would be processed under a "grid" or system of value. So lets say for example. Here is the stuff in my base / in chests: 1 Diamond Block 1 Obsidian 1 Cow Spawner 1 Hopper 1 IV Helmet Now lets say this is how much each item is worth [Determined by admins] 1 Diamond Block = $1,000 1 Obsidian = $5 1 Cow Spawner = $25,000 1 Hopper = $2,000 1 IV Helmet = $4,000 Calculations [Done by the plugin] Because these items are in my claim and are either placed in the claims or in chests. This is what is done and placed on a list similar to /mctop Overall Value: Diamonds: $1,000 Obsidian: $5 Cow Spawner: $25,000 Hopper: $2,000 IV Helmet: $4,000 Total Value Displayed on /F Top: $32,005 How I imagine the f top list would be like. Faction Name: Over-All Value Noob: $99999 Noob2: $99998 Noob 3: 99997 Basically a list of the top 10 then you can scroll on to /f top 2. I also think there should be a command that automatically tells you your faction's value. Something like: /f who bluejay value -- Now welcome to my rant about special gunpowder. :] Good Luck I strongly believe, special gunpowder should be removed. Now here is why. It adds no physical, mental, or any form of value to the game for that matter. It clutters hoppers, Not only is there a hopper limit AND a spawner limit, but you also get stuff cluttering your hoppers. Might as well just make creepers drop boats... Normal gunpowder is a more monetary item. It relates more towards the economy. You don't have to sift through two types of gunpowders, 1 completely useless because of the implementation of crafting with only special gunpowder. Now this is one of the more important reasons, I firmly believe that special gunpowder is in the game because people would grind gunpowder from gravel using mcmmo. Well guess what, if you want to waste your hour and a half mining gravel, go do that, for all I care you just wasted that time you could've spent defending your base, genning walls, getting IV, making a pvp base, creating allies, defending allies, helping friends, inviting new players. Or even just made this thread in that time. If you think that the economy is going to go RIP because of the gunpowder coming from gravel. Well guess what, I doubt anyone cares enough to do that. We all have creeper spawners and those who don't deserve to get the chance to get TNT in other ways outside of the over-priced spawners we donators greedily keep and sell for insane amounts of money. Let me put this into perspective for you. You're mining diamonds. I now implemented a plugin that gives you 2 types of diamonds. God Diamonds and normal Diamonds. But wait, you can only use god diamonds to craft, make diamond blocks, etc everything you can with normal diamonds except now its called God Diamonds. And now, the only thing you can do with normal diamonds is let it clutter your chests as if its even useful. BUT WAIT, not only that, but your chances of getting god diamonds are slightly modified. For every 100 diamonds you get you only get 95 God Diamonds. Now let me put this into perspective for you. I normally, get more gunpowder than special gunpowder from afking my creeper grinders. Now, this 95:100 ratio may not seem too bad. But let me put this into perspective. For 100 double chests of normal gunpowder, you get 95 double chests of special gunpowder. Those 5 dubs you just lost. You could've made an entire double chest of tnt with. Now I'm not saying special gunpowder was a bad idea. But to be frankly honest. Implimenting it was just completely off-relativity. There was NOTHING wrong with normal gunpowder. And now there IS its useless, I don't care how many of you say you'll use it on potions, well guess what, normal gunpowder, is typically only used in brewing health potions. Now special gunpowder, is used for crafting tnt. Those 2 things are KEY components of factions. You need TNT and you need potions. Splitting them up into two different items to be used for 2 different things not only is completely useless, its simply going to cause more lag because there are more items sifting through hoppers at all times, and it'll just add to the non-original in factions original.

Another good point. Let me add another point to this argument: Spawner has been limited per chunk area: Last resets and the previous resets, there were no Spawner chunk limits. Therefore, you can have 20 Creeper spawners per chunk and make you a tonne of Gunpowder/TNT. However, on this reset, Spawner chunk limit has just been introduced. Consequently, you can't put 20 Creeper spawners in a chunk area. Before i disbanned my faction, we had 3 creeper spawners. Yes it was not much and we did not add more in because it was not efficient at all. It makes us a crap tonne of useless gunpowders (we were able to sell a few stacks but it was only 2% of the G-Powder). On the other hand, the amount of TNT that we could make was less than 1-2 Double chests. Removing the special gunpowder will definitely make the creeper Spawner actually worth it. Maybe adding in the ability to set home in the territory when you are either in the faction or allied territory. On the other hand, you can't set home in enemy territory/ you can't set home when you are faction less. It prevents glitches from causing further damages. 1 Glitch = 1 Base gone cuz they can ez pz /f leave and /set home
What a newb, you can still set your home in enemy territory by using another command. Only expertz now 'bout dis. Pay me 100k$ to know the command :3
Oh bluejay if only more people would make posts like yours ^^ Love the /f top idea will ask tibo if he would be interested to make it kind of depends on that. And I was planning to remove the special gunpowder next reset so no worries there. And no I have no date planned for the next reset Faction Black will be first.
Ah great, glad to hear that these ideas will be implemented next reset. Talking about suggestions, I bet @BlueJay got it almost all of these rational ideas. You should really take consideration about other posts that faction posts that he posted. Also, I suggest that you should comment on the suggestion post as soon as you made up your mind. No one likes to wait 2 weeks until he/she gets a comment from the head-admins/ from you. It's really frustrating. Additionally, you should consider about resetting factions with these new ideas in less than 2-3 weeks because it's getting to the point where various factions players have quitted. Requesting lock?
No plox a lot of ppl have finals in this period *hint hint i cri* do it 1 june :x And ye /f top would make factions more competitive and if there was a reward for the first factions ( like power booster, a special /kit top or more starting money the next map ) ppl would play and compete and make trades till the final day instead of stop playing when "reset-rumors" start floating 2 months before the reset
Kit top? I don't think so. Too OP for factions that have OP balance Also, This faction season reseted at 13th November (I know because I have visited the server when it started to reset). Therefore, it should reset again in 13th May. (Every 6 Month) I just wanna boost up the process because I am HYPED for the new reset can't wait to raid big bases
Why would you do that, its so annoying, maybe people want to still discuss the suggestions? Locks are for discussions that are turning toxic or to prevent ancient crap from being bumped.
