Today we are going to be talking about spawners level: Well, you may ask me what is Spawner level? Well it is a smart system with getting spawners. As @Silencerz45 often say, exp has no meaning on factions. However, I think Spawner level is essential in order to balance the server. Firstly, Blaze Spawners and other types of spawners are LIMITTED since they can only be aquired around the nether or in /wild. It is REALLY hard to find zombies and Skelly spawners too since x-rayers might have gotten it all and in approximately 1 months, spawners around 5k block-ish could have been taken out, making spawners really rare for new players. What i am suggesting is adding Spawner level, a system where you can obtain spawners from shop. For instance, you need 15 exp lvs to get lv 1 30 exp lvs to get lv 2 40 exp lvs to get lv 3 And so on... Then, if you are lv 1, you can obtain Pig Spawner for 10k each lv 2, you can obtain Cow Spawner for 20k each lv 3, you can obtain Zombie Spawner for 50k each These are examples so don't take them seriously. I have not done actual calculation to make it balanced but from what I see it's decently balanced. Also, you CANNOT PLACE OR MINE the specified spawners if you don't have enough Spawner lv. Say, you are lv 1, you can't mine or place lv 2+ spawners. This concludes my main idea. Hope that @Tibo442 and @aXed take them into consideration [These are extra ideas] Additionally with this way, it's CAN POSSIBLY allow us to add IGs back Well, you might think that IGs will ruin the server economy again, well I don't think so. Pros: With the Spawner level system, IGs are going to be challenging to get. It will take hours of farming exp to get the IGs. Therefore, the players who got to the maximum Spawner level will be rewarded with what they supposed to obtain. Additionally, IGs will make the gameplay more challenging and it will definitely encourage raiding. If you have IGs, people will be urged to get it. IGs is going to definitely make more money than cactus farm and it won't be time consuming since it's easy to build an IG grinder. However, if you got raided, it is going to be pretty damn painful but that certainly will make the gameplay challenging. That is what factions should be about... We don't want to win all the time, it is getting boring. Cons and my rebut: IGs is extremely OP. You can easily afk in your base to wait for the money to flow in your bank For instance, Demi-god donators+ can afk there for hours to get money. However, we are having the same issue with cactus farm. Adding IGs ain't gonna change too much. Meanwhile, if we add IGs in, the gameplay, like I said, will be more challenging. If you don't scout around your walls overnight and just afk, you will certainly get raided with your precious IGs. P2W players can easily ruin the server by easily donate 200 euros or so to get IGs. However, this Spawner level system will only allow them to use the IGs when they are at the max level. Also, they will have to build a strong base in order to keep their IGs safe. Otherwise, their irl money will be spent for nothing. About the pricing of the IGs? Well I think it will take around 80-100 exp lvs to reach the max lv to buy IGs. The price of them at shop should be around 2-2.5 mil each The price of them at /buy should be around 10 Euros each (I don't wanna do too much calculations. +1 Spawners level should make it balanced and it stills gives donators a advantage as when they get to the IG spawned level they already have 1 or 2 IGs so they don't feel that there spending euros wasn't worth it. And maybe zombie pigman spawned can be added back with spawner levels.
+1 Definitely, also I recommend to add custom enchants, because of the same reason. Donators will get p4 like always, but grinding for custom enchants will make it competitive. But apart from it this suggestion is +1.
No offense to you or any admins. But I simply hate when you people say that. You say that as if faction black is actually a server. It isn't its an empty spot thats wasting GC's funds, has less players than dead servers, and shouldn't even be on GC. If you had said this when faction black was actually decently populated (100 players on average) then I'd actually agree its a good idea for faction black. Faction black doesn't have any popularity. And when you implement ideas like these to faction black, you split the entire thing up. Factions original will no longer have as many players, and neither will factions black. People from factions are moving onto other servers such as prison, as am I. It not only is it an excuse because people are afraid of change, its a horrible idea to say factions black deserves this idea. This idea doesn't deserve to be put on a server that has like 7 players. Now I'm not looking to argue about this but its a simple fact faction black was not as popular as GC had hoped for it to be, thus I suggest just shutting the entire thing down and over the summer, to produce a new, more well developed factions server if GC wanted a 2nd server. At this moment, factions black is not attractive, and adding ideas to a dead server, isn't going to change anything.
+1 These are great ideas and would be very helpful for new players if they are trying to get spawners. One question though, If you buy a spawner would the levels go away or would they stay. Because if they stay then people would just have to get the money back somehow and they would get it again without really grinding.
What about members, they lose their XP when they die? .-. Look. I don't want GC to turn into saico. For real. If this spawner level thing, displaces normal xp enchanting then Im out. Factions should have its core, Vanilla. derp
Mhmmm, true dat members lose Exp when they die but I am sure that they won't make such dumb mistake when they have 60 exp lv ... Yeah I know that we all don't want our server to turn into saicopvp or TheArchon cuz of the Spawner level and stuff. However, look, I want IGs to come back. It's kinda one of the main points. Adding Spawner level can make a return of IGs.
