What's happening?: So unless you've been living under a rock for the past couple of hours I'm sure you've heard about 'VoiceOfThePeople'. He or she wrote out a long ass message to most users on the GC forums about the state of our server and where it had come, alot of people supported the 'ManUnderTheMask' including myself but after a while it started turning into some drama bullsh*t when kids started saying 'I'M BEING HACKED' and 'I THINK HE'S A PEDO', I think you get my point.. My idea: Anyway, so now you're wondering why this is in the 'Suggestions & Feedback section? Well I'm going to get to that now.. I really agreed with @VoiceOfThePeople and started to think of what could be done and thought of something that might be able improve the issue between staff and players. This is a pretty simple idea for the forums, a new section for the forums which would supposedly be called 'Player Support'. Player Support would be a place in the forums controlled by a few higher staff members and it would be a place where you could talk to an admin about your unfair mute/ban or maybe another problem you had about or within the server or even a report about a staff member. Example: Now let me give an example. Let's say you were banned for 10 days for 'combat hacks' by autoban, you made an unban request and waited patiently, on the 5th day the head admin replies to your unban request saying 'You were using Aimbot which is why you were banned' when you were expecting something helpful and then locks the ban request so you can't reply. Now this is when Player Support comes in, here you can talk to one of the admins and they can give you more details and can look further into your ban to solve your issue. Q & A: Q: How is this any different to the Unban/Unmute section? A: Player Support is made to not just solve your problems but to also improve interaction between staff and players. Q: Can I use Player Support as soon as I think I am false banned/muted? A: Before you get into contact with one of the admins at Player Support about your ban/mute you first need have created an unban/unmute request, if your problem is not solved from that then you can go on to Player Support and talk with one of the admins there. If you have a problem within or about the server or maybe an issue about a staff member you can get into contact with one of the admins at 'Player Support' straight away. Conclusion: Thanks for reading this long ass post I really appreciate it, I hope you like my idea, also please vote in the poll. Wrote this late at night so there might be a few mistakes. If you have any other questions be sure to ask! -ASAPGaming
The help related section is most often used to ask in-game & forum questions. Player support will be a 2nd option for you if you've been false banned and it hasn't been dealt with, or maybe if you have an issue with a staff member that you want to talk about.
Honestly in my opinion I don't really think that "player support" would be another way to solve issues. One thing I'll agree with you off the bat is the communication between staff and the community. At the end of the day we are all people and deserve some sort of respect and a reasonable explanation for our actions. Okay so here's my concern with your suggestion. - This will give admins another task to do and they have enough to deal with as far as I'm concerned. - A section where player discuss about their unfair bans , mutes to an admin... It's like another section to cry about and sucking up to admins if they failed the first time. - In most situations all decisions are final. -If the player ask the proof then staff should able to provide the proof. If not then they should defend. Also an explaination. Just gonna say no for now.
It shouldn't be another task if the admins deal with the unban/unmute requests in the first place. I've had a few ocassions where staff just ignore my unban requests and when I pm them for proof of me hacking I just get ignored. 'Player Support' is a place for players when they have no other choice and are being ignored over and over again. I hope I've changed your mind @Neshie. ^.^
