Annihilation is just painful to play right now.Can we just take some player suggestions on banning hackers? Like there are tons of ideas on the forums posted by members,so because they're members pretty much nobody listens to them. Here is this little montage i've made to sum annihilation up. I know i already shared it but it was in off-topic so not many people took it seriously. Apologies if this post comes out as promotion more than a suggestion.
Members suggestions ignored, members maps, ignored, staff kits approved and only "builders" can make maps. If a member suggested farter for example it would be ignored. but no its on game now and no one ever used it.
this is one of biggest reasons why alot of classic legends of anni left the game for good or even gc as a whole. currently annihilation is a wasteland of stress and frustration which makes it pretty pointless to play since a game is meant to be fun. sadly the future of gc annihilation looks grim due to the increasing number of hackers. Three big things that currently help the hacker population get even bigger is the white knight players, the y players and the staff members who try to sweep this under the rug. allow me to explain. a white knight player is part of the problem due to them encouraging players to hack as well or by defending the side of people that leads no solution by saying deal with it. The y helps the hacker population grow by saying offensive unsportmanship phrases that offends the player which makes them want to hack to get payback on that group of people(its usally more then one) and end up becoming a permament hacker as a means to get the y players off his/her back while not knowing that the general population of players will hate him for doing this. The staff is not innocent on this either, they also create hackers by failing to keep a low of cheaters in the game, giving plain information that people heard a thousand times and failing to listen to their fellow members, I will explain how these 3 come in play too. for the first one its kinda plain and simple and has abundant proof on anni, now I understand that you cannot get rid of every single hacker but the amount in anni is absolutely ridiculous. The second point is where staff member do damage control by saying catch phrases for example apply for admin yourself without thinking about why that person cannot do a job like that, examples underage, does not meet the minimum 3 month requirement, is not active enough or has a unsorted false ban. The third and final point is when staff members neglect their own fellow members by either not listening to ideas(very common) or by censoring that member by locking the post without reason or warning,this happens mostly on these kinds of topics. DISCLAIMER: I am not saying all staff members or regular members are doing what is said above, what i am trying to get out of saying everything above is a hope that some people will open their eyes and see that change is needed now more then ever for both sides of the community.
Neme... why do you think I've been complaining to aXed for the past 2 years? Piza summed it up perfectly though. Nothing you and I can do will change anything. I recently made a post and offered to buy an X4 booster on Anni if aXed just listened to what I had to say and responded to my thread. His 'response' was to delete it -20 upvotes and all- and ignore me. I don't know how much more serious I can get! But I give up. You can't change anything. GuildCraft is broken inside, somewhere so deep down I can't even see it.
I know right.hackers never get banned while I got banned for movement hacks for 10 days when I don't even hack...
