»Creative [Remove This]

Hi

I dont want to make a long post on this, but here i got.
As most people know on GC, creative has this plugin that allows non-donator players to change their nick, and add their own prefix.

In my opinion thats really bad.
In case i want to report someone for breaking chat rules, BUT wait i cant cuz they have their nick on.
I just want to suggest removing this. it will help more for staff or anyone when trying to talk to one another.
Plus i see people abusing this nick/prefix alot, so i wish for it to be gone.

what if the nickname is Mr_pooppants, how will u know who she/he is, it can be any member.

 

I 100% agree with u. Its completly unnecessary for every member to have /nick and /prefix AND its really hard for other players to see who they are talking with. People keep abusing them on lot of different ways.

This problem could be fixed without removing /nick for members. Just the premmision that every mod+ has- the real player name in brackets. Example: RandomGuy101 (GioPocketMaster)- this would help staff members and all other players ofc.

 

Still no reason for /nick /prefix for non donators

 

Maybe they could add a command like /name (player) to show their real in game name.
(Btw, i don't really play creative much so... sry if i make a mistake regarding it xD)

 

remove the /nick because there is ppl impersonating others but dun't remove the /prefix

 

There is already a command for Admins to know the real name of the player. So for Example:

xXTeamingXx: (Swearing)
~ADMIN will do /realname xXTeamingXx
~the realname of xXTeamingXx is TeamTLV.
~teamtlv got muted by an ADMIN for Swearing.

So It's not hard for staff to know.
But I can't personally disagree because I get problems in reporting rule-breakers there. And the chat is extremely colorful with colors/marks/points/stuff.
However, as someone said above, and like on Fac dim, it would be awesome if the realname was followed by the nickname, for example:

XXTeamingXx (TeamTLV): (Swearing)

Or giving all the players the ability for /realname <nickname> will be good as well.


About the prefix, I totally agree in removing it.

Nevertheless, creative is down due to maintenance issues and I hope these suggestions get added because creative is one of the popular servers in GC and we need it to be as much organized as possible.
